Practice gone wrong

Chapter Eleven.

Percy

The next day us demigods headed towards the forbidden forest to practice our fighting technique and battle strategies. Our wizard friends tagged along hoping to learn a few pointers and of course a large group of wizards followed us wanting to see us in action again. When we get there everyone who will be participating lines up, except for me. Being the best swordsmen at camp I get to lead the practice.

"Alright first i'm gonna show you a disarming move, Nico can you come help?" I say looking at Nico. He gulps but nods anyways and steps forward with a sword. I uncap Riptide and we begin. He swipes at my head but i duck and roll. I slash at his leg and he falls to the ground but gets right back up. We continue for a while, him panting and sweating heavily, his moves becoming slow and slopping. Whereas I haven't broken a sweat and I'm not tired or breathing heavy. Finally I decide to end it and clash my sword against his. I twist and his sword falls to the ground. I kick it away and point my sword at his throat.

"See its easy." I say laughing at Nico's expression. "Now everyone find a partner and practice."

I stay with Nico and we begin showing each other random moves, then we actually begin sword fighting. As we fight out of the corner of my eye I see Thalia disarm Clarisse, Piper hit Leo over the head with the hilt of a sword, and Annabeth watching me attentively.

I quickly back Nico up against a tree, weaponless. Then I turn to Annabeth. "Your turn." I say cockily. She rolls her eyes and unsheathes her dagger. "Hey this is sword practice." I say motioning to her dagger. She shrugs and charges.

I mentally groan, she's amazing with her dagger. If she had a sword I could beat her but she's been fighting with a dagger since she was seven, I've only been fighting with a sword since I was twelve.

I raise Riptide but before we can actually fight a familiar voice sounds from behind me. "Perseus Jackson."

Everyone stops and turns to look. I see all my demigod friend tense and raise their weapons, Annabeth glares at the source of the voice she looks ready to pounce.

I slowly turn. Riptide at my side ready for an attack. When I see the source of the voice I also tense up and glare.

"What do you want Kelli?" I ask through clenched teeth. Then I notice the other. "I see you finally re-formed Tammi." I say looking back and forth between the two empousa's. She snarls at me remembering when I killed her my freshman year.

"Calm Tammi." Kelli says looking at Tammi. Tammi nods but continues to glare at me. "We just want to talk. Call of your friends." Kelli says looking at me. I see Annabeth start walking forward to my side.

"Percy?" She questions looking concerned.

"It's ok Annabeth, if I killed her once I can kill her again." I say reassuring.

Still everyone is tense ready for a fight, but I put my hand up signaling them to relax.

"Ok now talk." I say looking back at Kelli.

"Percy it's not to late to join our side. You may have killed our hellhounds, our dracaena, and our hydra but much worse is coming. You can't win this war." Kelli says.

"That's what you say before every war and every time I win." I point out.

"You won't this time, I promise you that. I've seen your future, you will die trying to fight this war along with your friends but if you join us you will be spared. You could rule Olympus, over throw the gods, you can't pass this chance up." Kelli says and then I see something horrible.

-A man cloaked in black with a snake-like face standing beside Kronos. Both of them are laughing as they fight. The snake man is pointing his wand around. Wherever he points it green shoots from the wand and it kills the target. Kronos fights with his scythe, his opponents dropping fast. Then I see me and Annabeth fighting back to back like old times. Me with Riptide fighting a big cyclopes and Annabeth with her dagger fighting a Sphinx.

Soon most demigods are dead, and whoever isn't is tired and overrun with monsters. Our enemy still to big to fight with such little numbers.

We all retreat until our backs hit a building, trapped. We're trapped.

Annabeth grabs my clammy hand knowing its the end. She mouths 'I love you' to me and I mouth 'I love you too' back to her before we close our eyes and are defeated.-

I gasp and open my eyes looking around around, my vision blurred. We're still standing in fighting stances, Kelli still standing in front of us with a smirk on her face.

"What is it Percy?" Annabeth asks. I shake my head not answering.

"That will never happen." I growl furious. I would never give up and let Annabeth and my friends die.

"Oh but it will, all in due time. You won't be a hero much longer." Tammi speaks for the first time.

Then I snap
