Hey this is sorta a filler chapter and I'm sorry for that but I've been really busy. I hope you enjoy chapter 26! (I can't believe it's chapter 26 and there's still lots more to come.)

*Chapter Twenty Six*

~Percy's POV~

I shoulder my pack filled with clothes, mortal money, drachmas, a tooth brush, ambrosia, nector, and a few books Annabeth couldn't fit in her bag.

I have riptide in my jeans pockets and the watch Tyson have me so long ago is strapped on my wrist. I fish a drachma from my bag and stand in front of the salt water fountain my father put in my cabin.

"Oh Iris goddess of the rainbow, accept my offering and show me Sally Jackson." I toss the coin into the fountain and watch it sink to the bottom before it disappears.

In the mist an image of my mom and Paul in our apartment appears.

"Hi mom, hi Paul." I say getting their attention.

"Percy what wrong?" She asks. I don't blame here I get myself in a lot of trouble.

"Relax mom I was just letting you and Paul know that me and some others are going on a quest." I explain what's going at and she nods in understanding.

"Be safe Percy and bring Thalia, Jason, and the others back safety." She says looking sad.

"I will mom." I promise myself this. No matter what happens my friends will get home safely.

After our conversation I swipe my hand through the iris message and leave my cabin. I make my way to the beach where the Argo II is at. Everyone agreed to meet there and finish some last minute preparations.

As I get closer I can see Leo with his tools doing who knows what, Hazel cleaning and organizing the weapons with her Pluto powers, Frank and Piper are yelling about something while Nico watches with a smile displayed on his face. The wizards are doing whatever Leo tells them to, most of the time using their magic.

"Hey Percy would you mind cleaning the hull of the ship?" Leo asks me when he sees me.

"Sure just let me put my things in my room." I say heading down to my room below deck. I throw my bag on my neatly made bed and see nothing in my room has changed. On the little table by my bed the picture of me and Annabeth at the fourth of July party at Camp Half-Blood still sits in its frame.

I smile at the picture before heading back up stairs.

When I get there Annabeth has arrived carrying a stack of books. She stuggles for a bit and I rush over to her. I take half the stack into my own arms and she smiles gratefully.

"This is a lot of books." I comments carrying them down to her room.

"Yeah I couldn't decide on which ones would be most helpful so I brought them all." She says shrugging as she plops down on her bed. She sighs and meets my eyes. "Are you ready for this quest?"

"As ready as I'll ever be." I say, "I'm never exactly ready to face possible death but I still do it."

She cracks a smile. "And I do it with you. I remember when all your plans would fail and I wouldn't listen to them cause I thought you were crazy. Now even though your plans aren't much better I go along with them."

"Now we're both crazy." I laugh and grab her hand pulling her up. "Let's go help out above deck. I believe I have the hull of a ship to clean."

"And I have a check list to make sure everything gets done."

"Of course you do wise girl." I smile and holding hands we go and join our friends.

~Annabeth's POV~

I watch Percy close his eyes in concentration. He raises his hand in the air and moves it towards the hull of the ship. Tons of water from raises up and hits the boat leaving it sparkly clean.

I smile in satisfaction and put a check in the box for 'Clean Ship'. Now the check list is complete and the everyone is ready to leave for this quest. Well we're prepared but I don't think any of us are looking forward to it.

"Ready?" I hear Chiron ask from the beach, most of both camps are here to see us off.

"Every things ready I just have to run to my cabin and grab something I forgot and then we'll be on our way." I answer suddenly remembering the gift from my mom.

"Good luck Annabeth, make things right." He smiles at me proudly and walks over to Percy.

I smile and race to the Athena cabin. I reach under my pillow and grab the cold gift. Slipping it in my jeans pocket I look around the cabin for anything else I might want to bring. Deciding I have everything I head back to the beach.

"Hurry up Annabeth." Leo yells from beside the head of Festus the dragon. He's ready to go. The rest of my friends are standing along the rail of the boat waiting to leave as well.

I roll my eyes and jog to the ship. I climb aboard and wave goodbye to my other friends staying behind.

As the ship sails away the shore of Camp Half-Blood slowly fades away into nothing.

"Ok guys if my calculations are correct it should take about three days to get the Hecate's Island. I'm not sure how long it will take to win her over. Until we get there I'm going to read as much as I can about Hecate and her island, we need to know everything we can." I say to everyone.

"I'm going to do as much training as I can with Hazel." Piper says.

"I'm going to build things to help us on the quests." Leo says tinkering with some metal scraps.

"I will just help out whenever I can." Percy says shrugging. "If anyone of you need help just let me know."

"Actually can you help me find information?" I ask him hopefully. I really don't want to read all the books alone for three days. He nods and smiles at me. I return the smile happily.

~Percy's POV~

I concentrate on the waves that are rocking the boat. I try to make the sea calmer but it's not working. I can't concentrate over the noise of the waves pounding against the side of the ship.

"Leo I think we should fly for a bit the water is rough and I don't think we should risk it." I say turning my attention away from the ocean.

"Your probably right." He says nodding. He turns to Festus and rests his hand on the dragon. "Hey buddy it's time to fly." With a couple creaks and groans from Festus the Argo II raises into the air.

Hey sorry for the filler, I wanted to update today but I didn't have time to make a really good chapter. I'll try to update in no less than two days. This book is about to get really interesting and I'm quite excited for it. I'm gonna be mean and as for 10 comments and five votes on this chapter. Others ask for so much more and with this story having 9,336 reads it can't be that hard.

Thanks! I love you guys so much!
