22. I Hope So

Nicki- these boxes are going in the truck and I'll just put these in my car.

Lindsey and I were finally moving into our new apartment today. Draya was here to help me get everything packed up. We finally got my old apartment empty and I just stood there for a minute just looking around.

Draya- you ok?

Nicki- yeah, I just remember when me and my brother first moved in here. I thought it was the best thing ever. This little apartment is full of memories and I'm actually gonna kinda miss it.

Draya- don't be sad. Your moving on to bigger and better things.

Nicki- I know.

Draya- let's go, we got a lot of unpacking to do.

I turned in my key to the landlord and followed Draya to the new apartment.

When we pulled up the movers were already unloading boxes. Draya and I got the rest of the boxes out of my car and took them upstairs.

Draya- where is Lindsey?

Nicki- she's at work right now but she'll be here later.

Draya- oh ok, do you work today?

Nicki- yep, in about 2 hours

Draya- oh well I guess we better hurry then.

Nicki- we can just do what we can and I'll finish when I get off tonight.

Draya- ok

Nicki- thank you for everything Draya.

Draya- your welcome! I'll call you tomorrow.

Nicki- ok

We had gotten a lot done. My bedroom was all set and all I had to do now was my bathroom and the kitchen. I took a shower and got ready for work.

Lindsey- you finally made it

Nicki- I know. I'm so tired right now.

Lindsey- I bet you are. How's the apartment looking?

Nicki- everything is in the new apartment. I got my bedroom done so all I have to do now is the kitchen and my bathroom.

Lindsey- well that's good. Our new couch and table are coming tomorrow.

Nicki- yay! I'm so excited.

Lindsey- I am too, but anyways come with me.

Nicki- where are we going?

Lindsey- I wanna show you something

Nicki- oh god, what is it?

Lindsey- SURPRISE!

Nicki- oh my god!

Lindsey- this is your mini baby shower.

Nicki- awwww thank you guys.

There was a cute little cake and food, and even gifts.

Lindsey- your welcome, now let's eat.

It was now 11pm and I was finally getting off of work. I had the cake and all of the baby gifts from work with me. Lindsey was already at the apartment since she got off earlier than me.

I pulled into the apartment complex and Lindsey was waiting on me. She helped me get everything out of the car. We sat on the living room floor opening gifts and eating cake. They weren't gender specific gifts since I didn't know what I was having yet, there was mostly just diapers and gift cards which were great because I didn't have anything yet.
