19. Stay Away

Today was the day that I was scheduled to terminate my pregnancy. I've been sick and crying all day. I had came to the terms that a baby wasn't what I needed right now but I couldn't come to terms with being without Meek. He was the only person that I've had for almost a year and when you find that one person that you like to spend all your time with, you get attached. He's the only person I've gotten close to since my brother died and Amber moved away. I was attached to him which I hated. I hated to admit it but in some weird way, I needed him.

Nurse- Onika Maraj

Nicki- that's me

Nurse- you can follow me back

I followed he back to a room and sat on a table.

Nurse- so it says here that your here to terminate a pregnancy correct?

Nicki- yes

Nurse- ok and how far along are you?

Nicki- I'm not sure but I just found out last week that I was pregnant

Nurse- ok well first let's go ahead and give you another pregnancy test just to make sure you are in fact pregnant.

I went into the bathroom and took another test. It came back positive.

Nurse- so what I'm going to do is transport you to another room and get you set up for an ultrasound.

This appointment wasn't going how I planned. I just wanted to come in and get it over with but all these extra steps gave me to much time to think.

Nurse- ok now I just need you to lay back, lift your shirt and relax.

I did just that and watched her as she applied the gel. I tried not to look at the screen but I couldn't help it. What was inside of me wasn't a fetus, it was a baby. It had features. Features that were way to familiar.

Nurse- well it looks like you about 18 weeks. That means your in the beginning of your 2nd trimester.

Of course I was crying. I felt so bad but my mind was still made up.

Nurse- ok, let's go ahead and go back to the room we were in at first.

Nurse- ok so since your in you second trimester, the price will rise about a thousand which will bring you to a total of $2700.

Nicki- and I have to give you all of that today?

Nurse- well I'll need a deposit of $1000 today and you can set up a payment plan to pay for the rest.

Nicki- o-ok

I took out my checkbook and wrote her a check for $1000. I signed a few papers and then we headed to the operating room.

Nurse- I'm not trying to change your mind about anything but I am required to show you a video of the procedure so that you are educated on what is happening during every step. It's about 10 minutes long and I'll be back when it over.

I definitely didn't want to see this video but it was the last thing that I had to do so I did it.

Nurse- ok, we're ready to get started.

Meek's POV

I was still pissed that Nicki went ahead and made the decision to get rid of the baby. I was for sure done with our relationship and there was probably no chance that we could be friends after this but for some reason I still wanted to talk to her and make sure that she was ok. Even tho she killed what would have been my first kid, I wouldn't wish no bad on her. I can't lie, I miss her a lot but I could probably never forgive her for what she did. To make matters worse, my birthday is in two days and this was how it had to start off. Her appointment was over hours ago and I still hadn't heard from here, not that I wanted to hear about it, but because she knew that I would be concerned about her.

I was watching tv in my living room when I heard a knock at the door. I knew that knock anywhere. I contemplated leaving her ass out on the porch but I wanted to know what her reason was for coming so I opened it.

Meek- what up

Nicki- can I come in?

Meek- for what?

Nicki- we need to talk

Meek- what do we need to talk about?

Nicki- can you just let me in?

Meek- no

Nicki- you know what, I'll just leave then

Meek- that's what you always do

Nicki- I fucking hate you

Meek- oh you hate me? What I do? And don't start all that cryin and shit because I don't care.

Nicki- whatever" she said walking away

Meek- you feel good about ya self? You have fun killin ya baby?

Nicki- fuck you!

Meek- don't come back over here, call me or none of that unless you got a baby with you.

Nicki- I definitely won't

I watched her as she walked back to her car and pulled off.

Nicki's POV

I had to pull over because I was crying way to hard to drive. I can't believe what he had just said to me. I knew that he was talking out of anger but he would never be able to take those words back. If he wanted me to stay away then that was what I was going to do.
