21. Big Changes

Draya- hey Nicki, I'm outside

Nicki- ok, the door is unlocked

Draya was coming over to my house because she said she had something to tell me. I couldn't figure out what it could be and I was anxious waiting for her to come in.

Draya- knock knock

Nicki- hey, it's about time you got up here

Draya- you were waiting for me?

Nicki- yeah because I wanna know what you have to tell me" I said taking Asia out of her car seat

Draya- welllll

Nicki- WHAT!

Draya- I hope this doesn't hurt your feelings Nicki, but I saw Meek today

Nicki- why would that hurt my feelings?

Draya- because he was with another girl

Nicki- seriously?

Draya- yeah, I'm sorry

Nicki- I mean I honestly expected that but not this soon. We've only been broken up for a little over 3 months and he's already found someone else.

Draya- well maybe you should find you someone else

Nicki- but I don't want anybody else

Draya- well Nicki, you can't expect him to know how you feel if you don't tell him. Maybe you should talk to him.

Nicki- I just feel like it's to soon. I bet he's still mad at me

Draya- I bet he is but you could at least try and explain it to him again. Maybe he'll listen this time.

Nicki- I'm tired of hearing him call me a baby killer and everything else he can think of. I just don't want to talk to him right now.

Draya- well if you want him back then you have to make it soon.

Nicki- I'll figure something out.

Draya- I know you will

Nicki- but Lindsey is on her way over.

Draya- oh ok. Are y'all just gonna hang out?

Nicki- actually, were going to look at apartments today. We're thinking about being roommates.

Draya- really? That's good!

Nicki- yeah, you wanna come?

Draya- I don't wanna be in the way

Nicki- you won't, just come!

Draya- ok, I'll come.

Nicki- well she should be here- now. Hi Lindsey!" I said as I opened the door.

Lindsey- hey Nic

Nicki- Lindsey this is Draya, Draya this is Lindsey

Lindsey- hi, nice to see you again!

Draya- you too

Nicki- ok, let me just grab my jacket and pee, then we can go.

Nicki- oh wow, this is nice!

Lindsey- it is!

Realtor- so this is the condo. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms, a laundry room, all the important things.

Nicki- and how much is this one?

Realtor- this one is $1200 a month

Lindsey- is this the last place?

Realtor- I have one more apartment that I can show you.

Lindsey- I think we should look at that one first before we make a decision. What do you think?

Nicki- yeah, we can do that

Realtor- ok, you guys can follow me to the apartment complex.

Realtor- this one as 2 bedroom and 2 bathrooms. There is a pool and gym and it's about 7 minutes away from the beach and about 25 minutes away from your job.

Nicki- I really like this one

Lindsey- yeah I think this one is my favorite

Realtor- this one is the same price but it includes water and light,

Nicki- so what do you think?

Lindsey- I love it! What about you?

Nicki- I think this is the one.

Realtor- so does that mean you guys are ready to sign the lease?

Nicki- let's do it!

We both signed the lease and payed the down payment.

Realtor- congratulations! It will be ready for you to move in next week.

Both- thank you!

We decided to go and get food to celebrate our new apartment. I was so proud of myself. I really never thought that I would be in my little apartment forever, but I've been working really hard and it's finally paying off.

Lindsey- I can't wait to move in!

Nicki- me neither! I'm so excited.

Draya- that place was really nice. I wish I could move in with y'all but I don't think my boyfriend would like that" she chuckled

Nicki- yeah, but you can always visit.

Draya- and since you live by the beach I definitely will

Nicki- I'm super excited to go to the beach!

We continued talking and eating. I was having so much fun.

Nicki- oh my god, we have to go.

Draya- why, is everything ok?

Nicki- no, can we please go?

Lindsey- o-ok

Draya- Nicki what's wr-, ooohhhh

Lindsey- what going on?" She mouthed to Draya

Draya- Meek is here" she mouthed back.

Lindsey- ohhh

Draya- why don't you just take her to the car and I'll handle everything in here.

Lindsey and I hurried to the car. A few minutes later Draya came out with our to go boxes and we headed back to my apartment.

Draya- he saw me

Nicki- he did? Did he say anything?

Draya- he asked if I was here by myself and I'm pretty sure he was trying to figure out if you were here with me since he knows we hang out again.

Nicki- and what did you say?

Draya- I said yes

Nicki- I can't believe he's actually with another girl, and she's not even pretty.

Draya- I think he misses you Nicki.

Nicki- well if he did he would have call or texted me but he hasn't. I don't think he likes me anymore anyways.

Draya- we both know he hates me, but he still talked to me even if it was just a few words.

Nicki- I'll talk to him soon enough.

Draya- you know you'll have to talk to him sooner or later right? You can't keep hiding from him.

Nicki- I won't. Just until the baby comes...
