45. Widwife

Meek- can you calm down?!

Nicki- no! I'm to excited to be calm!

Meek- just go get ready before she gets here.

Today was the day that I was finally going to meet my midwife. After the long process of Meek and I reading resumes, we finally picked someone. It's safe to say that I'm crazy for wanting to do an at home birth after having a horrible labor experience with Razah but I wanted a way to have my baby in the comfort of my own home without having to be hooked up to all those machines. And I also wouldn't have to stay 3 days in a hospital.

Nicki- don't go in the bathroom

Meek- why not?

Nicki- because I need to get in and you take all day

Meek- I need to brush my teeth. You do what you gotta do I'm not bothering you.

I started the shower and got in. I knew that Meek had no self control so I never let him in the bathroom with me expect ally when we had somewhere to be or something to do.

I turned off the shower and stepped out.

Nicki- why you still in here?

Meek- why I can't be in here? This my bathroom too.

Nicki- because you think you slick.

Meek- I'm chillin

Nicki- well chill outside the bathroom. You left my baby out there by hisself.

Meek- he slumped.

Nicki- my baby is tired. He's been acting weird lately don't you think?

Meek- he have been all up on you lately

Nicki- I think he knows that a new baby is coming. I'm going to be really sad if he gets jealous. Thats going to always be my first baby.

Meek- he straight. It ain't like he gone stop getting everything he want.

Nicki- he's going to want more of my attention tho. What if I don't give him enough and he feel neglected?

Meek- he gets plenty of attention. He just gone have to understand.

Nicki- I'll have to talk to our midwife and see if she has any advice about that.

Nicki- Meeeekkk! She's here!

Meek- I'm changing his diaper, I'm comin.

I opened the door and let her in.

Nicki- hi Connie!

Connie- hello Ms. Nicki, how are you?

Nicki- I'm good, come in!

We went and sat on the couch where Meek was waiting for us.

Nicki- this is my boyfriend Meek and our son Razah

Connie- it's nice to meet you both. Was he a water baby too?

Nicki- oh no, he was my first child and I really wasn't that educated about the different types of birthing methods at that time so I just had a regular birth.
