60. Special Day

1 YEAH LATER

I woke up to my fiancé and babies surrounding me in bed. It was rare that we all slept together but it was storming last night and having them by my side comforted me. I sat up in bed and smiled remembering what today was. I scrolled through my phone and then turned on the tv. I was always so bored without them.

Nicki- what's wrong baby girl" I said to Razlynn as she whined in her sleep.

I reached over and rubbed her back in attempt to comfort her back to sleep but she fluttered her beautiful eyes open and continued to whine.

Nicki- come here baby

I picked her up off of Meek's chest and rocked her. As soon as I did that he woke up.

Meek- why you move her?

Nicki- because she was whining

Meek- oh, I thought she got up on her own

Nicki- no, but I'm gonna go ahead and feed her because she's hungry. Just bring him down when he wakes up.

Meek- ight

Nicki- come on baby, let's go take a bath!

Razah- why?!

Nicki- because, we can't be late for mommy's graduation.

I ran his bath water and put him in.

Today was the day that I was finally graduating from college. It took me longer than expected but for someone with 2 small kids I'm proud of myself.

Nicki- baby? Are you ready?

Meek- no, but I will be when it's time to go

Nicki- don't make me have to slap you Meek.

Meek- Ima be ready, I promise. I'm not gone let you be late for this day, we waited to long.

Nicki- ok" I said before kissing him.

I went back to check on Ra in the bathtub and all he was doing was playing with his toys and getting water all over the floor so I decided that it was time for him to get out. I took him out, dried him off, put lotion and baby powder on him and then his pull up and underwear, and then got him dressed. After doing all that I was exhausted but I then realized that I had to get Razlynn and myself ready now. I didn't do much with Razlynn because she had took a bath last night so I just wiped her down and then put on her dress. She didn't want me to touch her hair so I just put a bow on and took her back to the bedroom. I gave her to Meek and then I went to go get myself ready.

When I came out of the bathroom Ra was waiting for me in front of the door like he always does when I go in there. Meek was laying across the bed with Razlynn laying on his chest and she was playing with his ear which meant she was sleepy. She definitely got that from her mom.These were the kind of sights that I live for. No matter what mood I'm in, these three always remind me of the reasons I have to smile. I couldn't help but feel like my life was finally falling into place.

Nicki- you sleepy baby?

Meek- nah, I'm good

Nicki- you sure? Because I can wake you up

Meek- well then I guess I'm tired then

Nicki- I bet yo are! My mom is on her way to get them so if you hear the door it's probably her.

Meek- ight..

I went back to the bathroom to do my hair and makeup. When I came back out the kids were gone. And Meek was still laying on the bed.

Nicki- oh do I look?

He sat up and looked me up and down.

Meek- you look good baby

I went over and straddled him as he laid on the bed. I looked at the clock and and we had 30 minutes until we had to leave. I was definitely about to have sex with my fiancé before I walk across that stage, it's only right.

Meek- you excited?

Nicki- of course, no more school. That means I get to be around my three favorite people more.

Meek- I'm proud of you baby?

Nicki- thank you, you helped me get through it all.

Meek- that's what I'm supposed to do right?

Nicki- right

We pulled up to the gym where our graduation was being held and we parked. We walked up to the building hand in hand and Meek walked me to the room where the graduates were being held. We shared a passionate kiss and then a hug.

Nicki- I love you

Meek- I love you too

I waved bye to him as he went to go sit in the crowd. Now having atleast one of my three favorite people around made me nervous. I lined up with everybody else and soon the line began to move. I walked out and saw all of the people as I scanned the audience trying to find my family. When I finally did, my nervousness died down and my smile appeared.

"Welcome family and friends. We are here today to celebrate the graduating class of 2016."

The crowd went crazy.

We listened as the valedictorians gave their speeches. I was kinda disappointed that I didn't make valedictorian but I was happy to be in the top 10 percentile. That was one of my biggest accomplishments.

" please stand as I present to you the 2016 graduating class"

We all stood and waited for our name to be called.

" Ashley Renee Mallard , Gregory Lamont Mackie"

As I prepared for my name to be called, I fought hard trying to hold back the tears.

" Onika Tanya Maraj"

I heard Meek's voice out of everyone's and as soon as I stepped off the stage I started to cry.

When I look back on my life, I realized that this was not supposed to be my outcome according to society. I went from being an 18 year old stripper who ran away from home and struggled ever single day to becoming a mother of two, the love of someone's life and a college graduate. I found it all so crazy but I was blessed that it happened to me. Because I never gave up, all of my stars aligned and now I have what I would describe as the perfect family and the perfect life.

This was my Testimony and I wouldn't change a thing about it.
