Dear Reader,
In case you haven't noticed this chapter is gonna be a little different and for sure shorter. So as you know I am apart of the Pentatonix fandom, and they have an original Christmas song called 'That's Christmas To Me' and I saw someone else post something like this and well I decided to join in. So basically I'm going to tell you what Christmas is to me.
Christmas is more than just presents and Santa. It's about family. I love my family sometimes more than others but I love them. I also love spending time with them. At least on my mom's side my family is huge! I have eleven cousins just on her side! So take that and a few aunts and uncles plus my dad's side let's just say I need more than one Christmas to fit them all in, and I couldn't love it more. That's just the actual day too. Decorating is so much fun I can't wait for it each year. My family decorates the second Thanksgiving is over. We grab everything from our attic and start decorating. We blast Christmas music and just have a good old time being together. My family also, not as much anymoe because I'm busy almost every day with homework or softball or I just need time to myself, watches Christmas specials together. It's mainly my dad and me watching them most years but I've kind of grown too busy and I miss them. We have been watching some Christmas "specials" together like CMA country Christmas, and It's Your 50th Christmas Charlie Brown but those have been upon request of me because Pentatonix were playing and I'm trash for them. Either way I love my family and just spending time with them. To me this really is the most wonderful time of the year, but not because of presents or Santa Claus but because of the people right in front of me. These wonderful people that deal with me day in and day out. Through guy troubles, friend troubles, my weird obsessions, or even just there to have fun with and joke around with. I'll always love my family.
I know this was really short but honestly I thought this was an amazing concept so I did it myself.
So before I say goodbye I would just like to say that Christmas shouldn't be about the superficial things think about all the other things that make this the most wonderful time of the year. Like just the feeling of it being that time of year again or Mariah Carrie singing 'All I Want For Christmas is You' or even just the snow and even though cold how much fun it is. Just think about the little things and how much they mean to you because isn't that what Christmas is.
So as I say goodbye I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and just to remind you that's Christmas to me.
And we'll cherish all these simple things wherever we may be Oh, why? 'Cause that's Christmas to me.
