[Log in to Grandiel Online?]
[Yes.]
[Logging in…]
[Log in successful.]
I open my eyes and here I am, back in the last city in Grandiel Online, Crain. I logged in tonight just to lash out my own weakness. In this world, I go by the name Einsworth, currently a level 69 sword user. For several days, I can’t find any better place to relieve my stress than here.
I go ahead and party with random people who attempt to go into dungeons. In Grandiel, there are two ways to gather experience (EXP) and Tin: Fields or Dungeons. Fields are the places wherein you need to go pass them to get into different cities such as Crain. Dungeons are a bit different. It requires you to be at least 2 in a group; you need to pay a fine to enter each dungeon; you need to reach a certain minimum level cap to enter one.
The first dungeon I entered was that for the level 50 characters. Although there are others which have lower level caps, I decided to not enter them since I’m kind of a solo player; by this I don’t mean I don’t join in groups, I just prefer be alone.
I’m not a loner, if that’s what you’re thinking. But, before on the previous online games I played, I created magic type characters like mages and wizards since later on they pay off on high level dungeons and you can level up solo. But in Grandiel, no magic exists so I’m stuck with using melee weapons.
“Oh Ein! You just logged in at the right time!” a girl wearing a white hood along with a red scarf and some bit of forearm and shin armor walked at me.
“Oh Riza. What’s up?” her username was Riza, a level 64 dagger user. I met her this weekend when I was hunting down some dinosaurs in the eastern fields. She was kind of my teacher in performing aerial combos for those flying type of monsters.
“Well, I just joined this group attempting to go to a dungeon. Wanna come with?”
“I guess… but you know just how good I am so…”
“No problem! I know the guy personally, he’ll listen to my request!” With that, she grabs hold of my hand and continues, “Let’s get going then!”
“W-wait! Don’t pull me!” but she turned a blind eye to what I said and kept pulling anyway.
Not long after we arrived at the gate entrance in the western part of Crain. The gates generally look like obelisks about 50 feet tall. These gates can be found scattered around one on each town, with the exception of Crain, having a total of 5 gates.
We were at the western gate, which was for level 60 characters. The level 50 gate I mentioned earlier was from the previous town before Crain, Zadfril.
“What took you so long, Riza?” A man with a hefty looking armor growled. At his back was one giant Blade Guard.
“Well, I recruited someone!” she then pushed me in front of him saying, “Go on, introduce yourself at least.”
“I-I’m Einsworth. Just call me ‘Ein’ for short.”
“And your level?” he asked.
“Level 69.”
“Hmm, well it’s better than I thought.” He faces Riza, “good work on finding this guy.”
“Wait… aren’t you that guy?” a guy wearing light armor and a spear remarked.
“T-that guy?” the heavily armored guy and Riza looked at me.
“You know, that guy who hangs around a lot with Yuit.”
