“Nat. Wake up, we’re almost there.” Those were the first words I start to hear. I’m still in a daze, I still must be half-asleep. I must’ve dozed off after driving for several hours.

Stretching out my arms as I yawn, I look outside of the window of our car and saw a new horizon unfold before me. I was back here, my dad’s hometown. I could tell because of the giant cherry blossom rooted in front of the town. Up ahead, it was the good old shopping district I usually go after school. A few turns here and there and we come to a complete stop.

“We’re here. Again.” My dad said.

We all left the car and soon what stood before us was our old house. Opening the front gate, you can hear a small creaking sound coming from it. Just as we were all about to enter the house, a voice calls my name.

“Tasha.” This name, only one person calls me that way. I turn my back and looked at her.

“Sara!” I happily ran towards her and held her tight in my arms.

“W-welcome back! I just thought you’d arrive at this hour.”

“I’m so happy to see you!”

“W-well considering we saw each other quite a few times last June… it’s been a while.”

“Yeah, it has.”

“Oh, hello Sara.” My mom greets her.

“It’s good to see you again, Ms. Graham.” Sara replies politely and soon looks at me, “Shall we get started then?”

“Eh? About what?” I answered.

“Moving your things in. You didn’t think I’d just come over here and welcome you back, did you?”

“Sara…”

“Well we’ll gladly accept your help Sara. In return, stay with us for dinner later tonight.” My mom offers.

“Okay!” Sara answers back eagerly and started carrying a box from the back of the truck. I carefully looked at the label tagged outside the box and read [Natasha’s Stuff].

“H-hey Sara! That’s my stuff!”

“Hihi, I know.” She grins mischievously as we both went upstairs to where my old room was. As I open the door, a small fume of dust slowly scattered around the room. Taking in some of the dust, we both cough as I try to make my way towards the window and open it, releasing the dust that filled the room.

“We better clean up first before settling your stuff here.” Sara suggested.

“Yeah, I’ll go get some rags and a bucket.”

I went downstairs, and another set of stairs leading down to the basement. Unlike our other house, this one had a basement for storage purposes. Looking at a few cabinets, I found a few clean rags and a bucket just near the staircase. As I made my way up, I accidentally nudge a box on the side of the stairs, toppling over its contents down the ground.

“Geez! Stupid box.” I grumbled as I made my way down and picked up its contents.

Looking closely, the content of that box was a bunch of pictures. Pictures back then were being shot using digital cameras and such unlike now, having a built in camera in the NET. There was no hassle in keeping developed photos such as these. I took the liberty of looking at them as I placed them away at the box.

“Ehh… so dad kept them here.” I said to myself.

Looking onwards, I saw this particular picture, which stopped me completely. It was a picture of me and two other kids. I kinda figured out the other kid being Sara, because of her hair. But the other one, I have no clue to who he was.
