“Okay! Who can fill up the blank in the question? Anyone?” That was my English teacher asking us a question regarding a lecture she already taught us.
The six of the classmates with me in that summer class looked at me for salvation. I sigh and raised my hand.
“Chris… again.” She was somehow discontented that I was going to answer her question, again. Before I could even say my answer, the bell rings.
“Okay, I think this should be a good place to stop. Class dismissed.”
“It’s over! Finally!” Richardson said, stretching his arms a bit.
“Oh and please study this again, guys. I can’t have having one student in my class.” Our teacher said and left the room.
“Oh, getting the teacher’s praise again eh, Chris?” Richardson teases me.
“Can it, Richie. Besides I just wanted class to be over too.”
“Still, you saved us. Thanks, class rep.” another classmate of ours, Chloe, said.
“No problem.” I look towards Penelope and Erica and somehow they were excited. I guess telling them what happened yesterday made them stop worrying.
“So Nat’s just fine?!” Penelope asked.
“Yeah. She said she’ll come to school later this afternoon to tell you guys something.”
“R-really? D-did she tell you what is it she’ll tell us?” Erica followed up with her question.
“I think it’ll be better if you hear it from her personally.” I guess this was the best response I could give these two. These two people are her friends after all.
I stand up from my seat and as they see me coming, they gave off this smile of appreciation towards me.
“Chris! What’s up?” Penelope started off.
“Not much. Just tired I guess…”
“I-I bet, you’ve been answering the questions by our teachers ever since.” Erica said patting me on the shoulder, well she was trying anyway. I’m about 5’6” tall and Erica is around 5’0”. Penelope is 5’4” and Natasha was in between them, being at 5’3”.
“I’m sure you’ll still grow Erica. Don’t give up.” I tease her a bit.
“G-geez! I hate you when you’re doing that!” Erica growled.
“Hahaha, don’t start with her being ‘small’, Chris. You’ll really get it.” Penelope warned me.
“I’ll take that advice for now. I don’t want to ruin your mood when Natie comes here.”
“Natasha’s coming over?” Chloe reacts just after hearing Natasha’s name.
“Y-yeah, she said she wanted to go visit.”
“Good timing! I have something for her.” Chloe giggles a bit and shows us a small wrapped box.
“A gift?” the three of us looked confused.
“Yeah, well… she did help me out by introducing me to Yuit before. I mean, Yuit helps others and all but I guess I owe it to her too.” I smile a bit as I think of Natasha. She is weird in a way that she always wants to help people but is afraid to show her initiative to do so.
We then heard the door slide open, I thought it was Natasha, but it was someone else. We all looked at who entered the room, she had a darkish blue hair, wearing a simple red coat, behind the coat was somewhat a short sleeved polo and a brown hand knitted scarf.
