Sailing Away in the Dark

It was night when the trip to Brightport began. You, Laurance, Aphmau, Travis, and Aaron are all aboard heading to Brightport. They are celebrating an annual Peace Festival there with Pheonix Drop. Travis is busy sailing while Aphmau and Aarom are busy mapping and doing other work. Aphmau insists you don't get involved with anything, and Laurance was tidying up the room area for rest.
At night, you and the rest are softly asleep when a loud bang disrupts your rest. You stand up and look around. You feel sudden fear and anxiety pumping inside of you as you step out of the small room and head out to the deck of the ship. Aaron is standing on top of a Shadow Soul that he kills in one swipe.
"What happened?!" You ask.
"A random Shadow Soul attacked the deck and I had to kill it off." Aaron explained.
"Would you like me to stay up here with you?" You ask.
"I don't care." He replied and continued sailing the ship. The darkness raveled around you and wrapped everything like a blanket. You saw an island only a mile or so away. That was Brightport, and everyone prepared to get off the ship.
At Brightport, the festival is being prepared as you walk around. It's a midnight festival that ends at dawn. Laurance brought his cookies to the feast, and it turns out Aaron brought bows and arrows for archery.
"Hey, (your name), may I have this dance?" Laurance asks, interrupting your thoughts. You nod yes, blushing, and he sweeps you into his arms. You two spend some time dancing, then the feast begins and you two go off to enjoy that. Aphmau eyes the both of you weirdly.
"Aphmau, what's wrong?" Travis asks Aphmau.
"Nothing, I just don't know if (your name) should have ditched Vincent like that. It was a little rude." Aphmau states.
"It's her choice what she wants to do, leave her be." Travis replies. They continue talking, but you tune them out.
"Are you okay?" Laurance asks you.
"This morning, meet me at the edge of Brightport. We need to go to the Heavens." You whisper to Laurance. He nods. You know that if both of you go there, you will have the powers to save Phoenix Drop, and the rest of the kingdoms, from the invasions of the Shadow World.
