A Good Shadow Knight: Laurance x Reader

Ragsworth

You wake up next to Laurance in a blue room with fancy furniture and a fireplace. For a moment you think everything is fine, when all of the events of the night before hit you. You see Laurance and Aaron are fine, so at least that is fine. The only question you ask yourself is, Where are we? What is going on?
"MWAHAHAHAHAHA! It seems you are awake." You hear a voice echo through the room. You get up to face a young man with green hair and a monarch's uniform. His eyes are red, and he's drinking coffee.
"Welcome, human peasants." He says.
"Who are you? Where are we?" You ask. You draw out your sword, which is surprisingly still with you.
"I am King Ragsworth, the new king of the kingdom of Stumperville. I was just looking for new people to join my kingdom." He said.
"We're not interested in joining. We have homes and people to take care of." You say.
"Do you have a husband?" King Ragsworth asks. What would he do to me if I told him that I don't? Would he try to marry me?, You think to yourself.
"Yes, I am married." You lie.
"To whom?" He asks.
"The guy with the brown hair and blue eyes. His name is Laurance, he's my husband." You continue lying.
"Where is the wedding ring?" King Ragsworth asks, pointing to your hands.
"I keep the ring at home when traveling, in fears of losing it." You say simply.
"Oh really? I will ask him myself." King Ragsworth says. He wakes up Laurance. Laurance backs up, holding up his sword.
"Are you married to that woman?" King Ragsworth asks. You stare at Laurance, crossing your fingers. Irene... Please...
"Yes, she's my wife. I love her more than anything in the world, so you can hurt me, but you can't lay a finger on her." Laurance says defiantly. You blush. He's such a flirt, even in the scariest moments.
"Well then, you will be executed at the gallows tomorrow." King Ragsworth says.
"WHAT?!" You scream. You try to slash Ragsworth with your sword, but he ducks before you can.
"GUARDS!" King Ragsworth yells. Ragsworth's guards run towards Laurance.
"DON'T HURT (YOUR NAME)! IF YOU DO, I WILL KILL YOU AND SEND YOU OFF TO HELL!" Laurance yells. The guards hit Laurance with a pan, and he falls unconscious again.
"Send him to the prison. He will be executed tomorrow. Take the stranger with him." King Ragsworth demands. The guards take Aaron and Laurance away.
"NO!" You scream and fall out the floor. Tears run down your eyes faster than a waterfall.
"MWAHAHAHA! Tomorrow is the execution of your two fellow friends." King Ragsworth says to you.
"No, please. Let them go... I will do anything." You say.
"I will let them go if you marry me." King Ragsworth says. You stare at him. Marry this creep and save Laurance and Aaron... or... watch them die.
"I will marry you." You say.
"Tomorrow is our wedding. Those two men will be watching." King Ragsworth declares. You break into tears for what seems like forever.
"So, dearest, I just wanted to let you know that as the new queen of Stumperville, you will need to find which one of Stumperville's queen crowns." King Ragsworth says and winks. As if it were a queue to the guards, they take you to a closet filled with queens crowns. I need to take a crown from here for the spell and get out of here. Somehow...
"Alright, darling, it's time to go eat dinner. We're having turkey." King Ragsworth says and links arms with you. He tries to kiss your cheek but you kick his knee and he falls on the floor.
"See you, Ragsworth." You say and head downstairs. Laurance... I miss you so much already.
