Sacrifices

"Welcome, welcome, welcome." A voice booms through the white room of the dimension. Out of the middle of nowhere, the sun rises and stays in the sky.
"I am the God of the Sacred Heavens. I will teach you the ways of Godly Magics." He booms. You freeze in shock. We actually made it...
"What is the Godly Magics?" Laurance asks.
"It's a magic technique in which you can bring the good out of people just with a simple spell. You can make all of your worst enemies into good people." The God says.
"That is amazing." You whisper. I could change Zenix and Alya and all of the Shadow Knights.
"But of course... each gain comes with a sacrifice..." The God says, choking a little.
"Sacrifice? What sacrifice?" Laurance asks.
"The two of you must stay in my dimension for 2 years to learn the spell, and once you return, nobody will remember who you are. You will be reintroduced to everyone you ever knew. Your lord, your friends, your family, nobody will remember you. And if you don't stay here for all 2 years, they'll remember you, but you will not have completed the practice and became powerful enough to save the world." The God explains.
Save everyone 2 years from now but be forgotten... Or leave right now and be remembered...
"I'm staying right here! For 2 years! Any sacrifice can be made to save all of humanity!" Laurance declares.
"I'm not leaving either! We will save the world, no matter what!" You add.
"Now that this is agreed upon, we will head to the Heavenly Chapter. That is your new home for the next 2 years." The God says and leads you two further into the dimension.
"Laurance... we have to wait 2 years to get married." You whisper, realizing that.
"Any sacrifice can be made. And hey, we could get married in this dimension. Nobody will remember us, so we can be a new married couple in Phoenix Drop 2 years from now!" Laurance says. You hug him and smile. Laurance will always find a way to make me happy, won't he? Sacrifices can't change that.
