I'd been in Phoenix Drop for 2 months. I was 3 months pregnant, and Laurance was always working hard. Laurance and I bought a home and Laurance worked as a guard for Aphmau and Garroth. I would start working after our child was born and a few months old. Until then, I worked at a cafe in Phoenix Drop. Kawaii~Chan started the cafe, but Sasha was the one in charge of it at the moment. Yes, Sasha, manager of a cafe. I never saw that day coming either.
Laurance had been meeting many of the new guards we never knew back then. He'd became close friends with Travis again. We were in our home, which looked a lot like Aphmau's old purple home in Phoenix Drop, but it wasn't purple. He and I were sitting in the couch, having a discussion about Dante.
"I've been trying to be very careful, (Your name), and it seems that Dante is coming back to senses again. But I can't get him to trust anyone yet. Should we use the spell?" Laurance asked.
"I think he will come out over time. There's no point in wasting magic power on a task like this. Our magic is for those who can't change without extreme guidance." I said wisely. Laurance smiled.
"You're my smart sweetheart. You'd know what's right." Laurance said and kissed my forehead. I smiled and rested my head on his shoulder.
"I think we should do something about O'khasis." Laurance said.
"We should. We really should." I replied. Laurance smiled.
"O'khasis should be pretty easy to take over." Laurance continued.
"I don't want to take over them. I want to save them." I said.
"You have a good point. We can change their hearts, not take them over." Laurance agreed. I closed my eyes and buried my face in his soft fabric clothes.
"Yeah, that's what we're gonna do." I whispered tiredly.
"Are you tired, baby?" Laurance asked. I nodded. Laurance pulled me off of him.
"What are you doing?" I asked, confused and tired. Laurance smiled and gently kissed my lips. He pet my hair and smiled.
"Go to sleep. Goodnight, (Your name). I love you." Laurance whispered.
"I love you too." I replied quietly and rest my head on his lap. I fell asleep soon afterwards dreaming of what our sweet little baby might look like.
