Last Chapter: The Trap

"Do you understand yet? Do you have any idea what we just did to you?" Jordan asked me. He faced me with an evil smirk on his face.
"TELL ME! TELL ME WHAT YOU DID!" I shrieked. I launched myself at him when he stopped me and turned away.
"I don't know combat. I can't fight you. Instead, I can tell you what I'm doing." Jordan said. I felt tears streaming down my face.
"Tell me. Or else." I growled, trying not to choke and cry.
"Alya is my wife. She knew that you left to the Heavens because she is your alter ego. She kept track of where you were in your training. Since she knew she couldn't stop you from learning the spell, she decided to stop you from performing it in the Overworld and the Nether. Since you can't waste too much energy because of the pregnancy, you had to depend on Laurance to cast the spell. We decided to lure the two of you in by kidnapping Nicole and Kawaii~Chan." Jordan explained.
"Give them back to me now. I've had enough of your nonsense." I gritted through my teeth. Jordan used some sort of magic to levitate them up towards us. Both of them were beaten and weak.
"Who is this?" Nicole asked, pointing to us.
"Is Stranger~Chan going to hurt Kawaii~Chan?" Kawaii~Chan asked.
"No. I am not. I'm one of Queen Aphmau's friends and I'm here to take you home." I said to them, trying to sound happy.
"One more thing, miss (Your name). They're not shadow knights. We just threatened them that way, but they're just normal girls. Take them away, and never return. We're just going to imprison Laurance and leave him be. If you return, we'll make sure he dies. NOW LEAVE MY SIGHT!" Jordan yelled. I grabbed Nicole and Kawaii~Chan and ran off to the portal as quickly as I could with a baby inside of me.

We were finally back, but I wasn't happy at all like I thought I would be. Laurance was gone. What could I do without him? Nicole, Kawaii~Chan and I headed off to Aphmau's castle. Garroth and Aphmau were awaiting us there. On our way there, I suddenly saw the most unexpected thing. Laurance.
"LAURANCE! OH MY IRENE! IT REALLY IS YOU!" I screamed and ran slowly towards Laurance when I realized it was just an image. It was indeed Laurance, but he wasn't here. He was stuck in a small jail cell. Alya was crawling in towards him. He kept calling her (Your name) because she tricked him into thinking she was me. Just when she came close enough, she sliced her orange dagger across his cheek. I screamed at the sight. He cried and screamed, his senses returning for only moments before he was tricked by her again. I tried to wipe the images out of my head when I realized it was part of my mind. It was what they were doing to him. They're telling me what they're doing to Laurance. They're torturing him to torture me.
"SOMEBODY SAVE LAURANCE! PLEASE!" I screamed and fell on the floor in tears. I pet my tummy. "Don't worry, baby. Somebody will go save your papa. I promise."
Nicole grabbed me and pulled me up.
"Please calm down, Stranger~Chan." Kawaii~Chan cried. I looked her in the eyes.
"I can't. My husband and I came to save you together. But Alya took him. She's going to kill him." I choked. Just when I said that, Alya carved my name on Laurance's forehead with her dagger. The blood dripped down and Laurance screamed in pain. I cried louder, screaming in fear.
"You go rest in your home. We can go to Aphmau ourselves and tell her what's going on, ok?" Nicole asked. I nodded my head and walked off slowly. I tried to calm down, but I was crying so hard, and screaming so much, that I could barely breathe.

After a whole night filled with nightmares that showed me the torture Laurance had to deal with, I woke up in my home. I couldn't see any images or hear any screaming.
"Maybe that was just a crazy dream..." I whispered to myself. I walked around the house and realized Laurance wasn't there. I decided to check outside my house, and the moment I walked out the door, the images and screams returned. I stumbled back into my house.
"How...? HOW?" I cried. I turned around and saw a bright light. It was a piece of paper with a message on it. I read it carefully:
Don't worry. I am watching over you. I am going to protect you and Laurance. In your home, you can't hear cries and screams, but in the outdoor world, they'll never leave. They won't find you or hurt you, not as long as I'm with you. -Thegod
I hugged the piece of paper and whispered, "He's protecting my home... I can't leave. I won't be able to stand it."
Just then, someone knocked on the door. I walked over and opened it. Aphmau walked out. She hugged me tightly.
"Oh, I'm so, so sorry, (Your name). You shouldn't have to deal with any of this." Aphmau whispered to me. We sat down and I explained Thegod's spell.
"I see. You should stay in your house. We can have a guard protecting your home from outside and Kawaii~Chan can bring you things to eat. Every Saturday, you have to come to the castle for an hour or so, just so we can make sure you're okay. I also want to make Laurance is okay too, and since you're the only one who would know, you will visit us and tell us." Aphmau explained.
"That sounds fine. But please have someone go save my Laurance. My baby needs a father and I need a Laurance. Please..." I begged.
"We will do everything we can, (Your name). I promise." Aphmau hugged me again. I closed my eyes and let the tears drip down.
"Everything will be okay..." Aphmau whispered. For a second, I could hear Laurance's screams before Thegod's spell wiped them out again. Everything... will... not... be okay.

A/N: OMG CAN YOU GUYS BELIEVE IT?! This is the end of Book 1. Book 2's first chapter is being posted on Tuesday, March 8. Tomorrow I'm uploading the prologue of that book, in which I summarize this book and explain how Book 2 will work and all the crap that I need to explain. XP.
