"I'm exhausted." Chynna breathes as she plops down on the wooden couch.
"Ang hina mo talaga, Chyns. Parang isa't kalahating oras lang naman na jogging oh." Sheena replies as she wipes her forehead with the towel hanging over her shoulders and takes a sip from her juice. "God, that feels so good."
"Hoy, miss Halili. Anong mahina ka dyan, e halos katumbas na nga ng 10k sa fun run yung tinakbo natin. Sino ba namang hindi mapapagod dun?"
"Wag ka ngang OA dyan, Ortaleza. Twenty minutes pa nga lang tayong nagjo-jogging, umupo ka na dun sa gilid e. Echosera ka." I chuckle as I munch on an ice cube.
"E nakakapagod kaya! Hindi keri ng body ko yung heat."
Glaiza raises an eyebrow at her direction. "Heat? Ahh. Heat pala ha." She whispers in mock understanding before swatting Chynna on the head with a newspaper, causing the latter to sit upright in surprise.
"Ow! What the hell was that for?" Chynna glares at Glaiza as she rubs the back of her head.
"Unang-una, wala pang araw nung nagjo-jogging tayo. Inantay pa nga natin yung sunrise bago tayo umalis diba?" She states matter-of-factly as she counts with her fingers. "At pangalawa, nasa Tagaytay po tayo. Sa tatlong araw na pag-stay natin dito, kelan pa uminit? Ha?"
Mike nodded at Glaiza in approval and they high-fived. "Kaya nga. Mga palusot mo, Chyns." He snickered.
Chynna opens her mouth to defend herself but slowly closes it when she realizes that Glaiza was right. "Best friend mo 'ko. You should be defending me, de Castro." She replies, causing all of us to laugh at their childish exchange.
"Oh mamaya na yan. Who's hungry for pancakes and chicken?" Direk enters the room, followed by a few members of the crew with medium-sized boxes in their hands.
"Jollibee?"
"Mm-hm. Don't worry, it's on me." He grins proudly.
We all cheer in delight as the three guys passed the food around until everyone had theirs. We shared stories and joked around as we ate our breakfast with the whole cast and crew of TRMD.
Glaiza and I restrained ourselves from being too sweet in front of the others. But when we do, even the slightest act of sweetness, doesn't go unnoticed by Chynna's hawk-like sight.
I was sitting across Glaiza at the table. She was on her phone while drinking her juice. When I saw that she was done eating, I nudged her foot using mine.
She looked at me questioningly as I looked at the others and cleared my throat. "Um.. guys, ano nga bang oras tayo uuwi?" I ask.
"Before 10, R. Why?" Direk answers.
"Ah.. kasi hindi pa po pala ako nakakapag-ayos ng gamit."
Well, honestly, I have. I just need an excuse to talk to Cha and clear things up before we leave.
"Sige, mag-ayos ka muna ng gamit mo para wala ka ng iintindihin mamaya."
"Okay po." I nod and look at Glaiza, who was now smiling at her phone again.
Unbelievable.
Really, MK?
I try to catch her attention again. This time, I step on her foot, making her flinch slightly and look at me. She looked around, and when she saw that no one was looking, mouthed a 'What?' and furrowed her eyebrows innocently.
