Unexpected (ON HOLD)

Chapter 4

I was about to get into Rhi's car when I heard her phone ring. I looked at her as she answered her phone, eager to know who it was.

I heard her say, "Nasa batangas ako ngayon, Biancs." okay, it was Bianca.

In the middle of the phone call, she started smiling. She was too cute. I was at the driver's side as I placed my head on top of her car. Half of my face was nuzzled into my arms as I continuously stared at the beautiful sight before my eyes. When she started to laugh I couldn't tear my gaze off of her. I smiled

Hindi 'to pwede. Babae po ako.
Eeeeeeeh! Pero, Lord, nababading na po ata ako kay Rhian Ramos. Di ko naman po sinasadya e. Bigla nalang po 'to nangyari. Wag po kayong mag-alala, crush lang naman e. Wala namang masama sa crush e. Hahaha!

While I was deep in my thoughts I saw her turn to me. She smiled and I remained staring at her, smiling.

"Oh ano na naman?" she chuckled

Wala lang. Ang ganda mo lang naman. Maliit na bagay. Lalo na yung ngiti mo at tawa mo na hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit ako napapasaya ng sobra.

"Wag ka na ngang ngingiti ng ganun. Baka di ko na mapigilan e." I answered truthfully and got in the car quickly so she won't notice that I was blushing.

She was still standing outside. Oh shoot. Ang tanga mo Glaiza! Ba't mo sinabi yun? Iiwas na sa'yo 'yan, sige ka. I sighed as I thought about this.

I scootched over to her side and opened the window.

"Huy! Joke lang yun. Wag mo masyadong isipin." I smiled brightly at her so she won't see that I was very nervous.

She smiled a slightly awkward smile at me. "A-ah. H-hindi. May iniisip lang ako. Tara na."

I nodded and started the engine as she got in.

"So.. What song?" I asked to lighten the tension. She looked at me and started searching for something in her purse. "Found it." she exclaimed as she handed me a red covered CD. It looked familiar. I took it from her and realized that it was my album. Awww.

I faced her and she was smiling at me. "Did you just bought this today?" I asked and she shook her head.

"Then why do you have my album in your bag?" I mentally facepalmed myself because of my answer.

"I love your songs." she teased "And para kahit papaano, lagi kitang kasama." she winked and chuckled.

"Sira!" I laughed and turned away so she won't see that I was mentally screaming inside. She grabbed the CD from my hand and inserted it in the car's DVD player. The first song was "Country tree"

"This is my favorite." She said as she leaned back in her chair with her eyes closed. Cutie.

The ride went well. We were mostly silent but it was a good silence. An hour passed and I felt a tap on my arm. I quickly looked at her and back at the road. "Hm?"

"Park mo muna dun." she said as she pointed to the lot next to the benches. I knit my eyebrows together in confusion but I did what she told. When the car stopped, she got out and walked around to my side. My eyes never leaving her. She opened my door and leaned in. Anong gagawin nito? I panicked and closed my eyes. I felt a hand on my side and a clicking sound was heard. I slowly opened my eyes and saw that she was unfastening my seatbelt.

She looked at me and leaned back a little so that we were face to face. Our noses inches away from each other.

"Ako naman magd-drive, lablab." she chuckled and shooed me to the passenger's seat.

I was just sitting there, staring into her chocolate eyes. I could see her cheeks turn into a faint shade of pink. She then exhaled and brushed her nose with mine playfully. "Glai!"

Tama na Rhi. Pag ako di nakapagpigil, nako nako.

She then laughed again and shoved me to my right. Leading me to the passenger's seat. I laughed with her.

"Wag mo ko masyadong titigan, baka matunaw na ko. Mahulog pa'ko sayo." She said and I just stuck out my tongue at her. We both laughed.

Ahh, how I wish she wasn't joking.
