Unexpected (ON HOLD)

Chapter 3

The rest of the meeting went on for another 20 minutes. I didn't much catch on the details for the next shoot. All that I remembered was that we were going to tagaytay next week. Oh yeah.

"That's it, people. Thank you and see you next week." and with that, he waved and left the room.

I was the first to stand up. I brushed the dust from my pants and helped Sheena stand up. I turned to my right and saw that Glaiza was raising both her hands at me.

"Ako din lablab." she pouted at me and I giggled as I pulled her up.

"Tara na, guys! Gutom na gutom na talaga 'ko." I said and Mike approached me. He casually wrapped his left arm above my shoulders and we started walking towards the exit. A common thing we do when we're together. He was literally like a brother to me, thanks to the show. We stopped at the parking lot and waited for them to arrive. They may be great actresses but they're as slow as a turtle.

When they came, each of us headed to his/her own car. I was walking towards mine when someone grabbed me by my wrist. I turned around to see who it was and to my surprise, it was Glai.

"Umuwi na yung driver ko, may emergency daw. Sasabay ako sa'yo." She smiled sweetly at me and grabbed my keys from my hands without even letting me answer. "I'll drive." and she winked at me.

Kinindatan niya ko. Oh. Okay. Patay na, patay na 'ko. Patay na si Rhian. Pakisabi na lang sa mga magulang ko na namatay naman ako ng nakangiti. Hahaha! Wait, kinakausap ko na naman sarili ko. Bwiset. Ano ba 'to. Napapadalas na ha.

I shook my head to rid of my ridiculous thoughts and got into the passenger's seat. I calmed myself and turned to her. I was surprised to see that her head was resting on the wheel. She was looking straight at me, smiling.

"Bakit?" I looked at her, completely puzzled. "May something ba sa mukha ko?"

"Wala naman." She chuckled and started the engine. She whispered something that I didn't quite understand so I just let it be.

We convoyed with the others because we forgot to ask where we were going. The ride was fun. We chatted about our fans and family, and listened to the radio. We laughed at each other's lame jokes and before we knew it, we were here. I could see that there weren't much people in the restaurant. Thank goodness.

"Tara na." Glai said as she went out. I nodded and removed my seatbelt. I got out of my car and it was freezing. I hugged my body and rubbed my arms with my hands to feel the slight warmth. Kat approached me and handed me Mike's jacket. He always has a spare jacket in his car.

"Thank you." I smiled and wore the fabric on me. Kat and I walked towards the others on the restaurant's porch.

The guy behind the table looked shocked when he saw us and quickly composed himself. Cute. He smiled brightly and greeted us.

"Good evening. Table for six, please." Mike, being the only guy, politely said and smiled.

"This way po, sir." he gave another bright smile and lead us to our table.

It was on the restaurant's balcony. The cool wind was sweeping the strands of my hair gently. The lights on the small trees complimented the dark sky and made the view more breathtaking. I looked to the left side and saw the waves of the sea splashing on the large rocks below.

"Wow." was all I could say.

"Nice choice, Mike!" Chynna smiled and we all sat down.

I was sitting next to Kat and Chynns with Glaiza facing me. We ordered our food and shared stories while we were waiting. After a few minutes, the food arrived. The waiters gently placed the plates with shaking hands. We thanked them and they smiled.

"Okay, galit galit." Chynns said while stuffing her mouth with roast chicken and beef which made us all laugh.

The night went pretty well and when it was 11pm, we decided to head home. We thanked the waiters and bid our goodbyes. We each went our separate ways, besides Glaiza and I, of course. Before I got inside the car, my phone rang. I checked the caller ID and it was Bianca. I swiped the screen and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hi, Rhi! Where are you?"

"Nasa batangas ako, Biancs. Nag-dinner kami nina Sheens after taping. Ba't ka nga pala tumawag?"

"Ano kasi e.. Hahahaha! Anong itlog ang lumilipad? Hahaha!"

Naluluka na ata 'tong kaibigan kong 'to.

"Um. Flying egg?"

"Ang corny mo ha. Hindiiii!"

"Pag ' yan corny, lagot ka sa'kin. Oh ano?" I chuckled softly.

"Edi... EGGLE! HAHAHAHAHAHA"

I laughed with her. I didn't laugh because her joke was funny. I laughed because it was so not funny that it made me laugh.

"Hahaha! Ewan ko sa'yo, Biancs! Sige na, bye."

"Hoy wag kang ano dyan, tumawa ka din naman! hahaha bye! ingat!" she said and I hung up.

I turned to my car and saw that Glaiza was staring at me again. Placing her head on top of my car.

I chuckled "Oh ano na naman?"

She smiled "Wag ka na ngang ngingiti ng ganun. Baka di ko na mapigilan e." She opened her door and got in the driver's seat. And I was there again. Left dumbfounded by her words.

Walangya ka Glaiza. Nako nako. Ako talaga, kinikilig na ko ha. Tumigil ka.
