"Hell no," Luke shouted. "We watched Finding Nemo last night. Just because you are obsessed with it doesn't mean I am."

"But you always pick a scary movie when it's your turn. I can't handle another horror movie," I told my roommate and best friend. We have been living together for over a year and it has been great. The only problem is that I'm in love with him. It gets hard sometimes, but I'm usually pretty good at hiding my feelings for him.

"Scary movies are the best, (Y/n)! Not my fault you can't handle it."

I grimaced and said. "Fuck you, Hemmings."

"C'mon, sweetheart! Please? Do it for your best friend?"

"Fine," I said and he had a smile grow on his face.

He got up and turned netflix on, choosing Hostile. I immediately regretted my decision.

The movie played on and I pretty much hid my face in the couch the entire time. That is until Luke put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me into his chest. I tensed for a second, then I heard him whisper, "Relax, babe. You're safe."

I sank into his hold, and his arm wrapped tighter around me. He was warm, and his white smiley face shirt was super soft. I ended up falling asleep half way through the movie. I felt his lips land on my head in a gentle kiss as I drifted off.

What felt like hours later, I woke to Luke gently rubbing my shoulder. I sat up quickly and looked around, then fell back down on the couch.

"(y/n), it's like two in the morning. It's time for bed," Luke laughed lightly.

"I'm too lazy to move. I'll sleep here," I mumbled.

Luke sighed and said, "Stand up." I groaned and did so until I was standing in front of him. "Wrap your arms around my neck." I looked at him. "Just do it." I did as told. "Now jump." I jumped and Luke grabbed me until my legs were wrapped around his waist. Then he carried me up to my bed.

Once he set me down, I curled under the blankets. Luke kissed my forehead then headed for the door. "Wait, Luke," I said and he turned back. "Will you stay with me?"

Luke smiled and came back, laying down next to me under the blankets. He pulled me into him until I was resting on his chest. "I love you, (y/n)."

"I love you too, Luke," I said before drifting off to sleep.
