"What about this vase? I mean, it's empty and I'm 100% sure you won't need it in Virginia." Darrin says, placing it in the donation box.

"What?! NO. Ethan gave me that vase for the flowers he got me that one time." Piper defends, taking the vase out and cradling it to her chest. Melanie rolled her eyes, but stayed quiet, seeming afraid of challenging Piper.

"Kenny, tell Piper that vase is getting donated." Darrin commands, pushing Kenny in front of Piper.

"Uh, what he said." Kenny mumbles, hands in his pockets and face down, clearly afraid of Piper's reaction.

"Kenneth Garcia NO. You can't tell me what to do!" Piper says childishly, huffing.

"I tried." Kenny shrugs, going back to poking around Piper's old stuff.

"Skye, please explain to your best friend that she can't keep the stupid vase." Darrin sighs, rubbing his forehead.

"Skye?" Darrin asks, waving a hand in front of my face. I blink, suddenly coming back to reality. The sad reality that Piper was leaving.

"Wh-what?" I ask stupidly, causing Darrin to chuckle.

"Zoned out again?" He asks knowingly.

"Psh, what? No." I lie, giving them all a casual look.

"Okay then answer the question." He insists. Honestly, fuck you Darrin. He was about as aggravating as he was a great friend.

"Yeah, that outfit looks great Piper?" I answer, but it comes out as more of a question.

"That wasn't the right answer, but it wasn't a wrong one." Piper winks, checking herself out in her mirror that she was about to pack.

"Wait, why is that vase in the 'Going to Virginia' box?" I ask, taking the horrid thing out. It was orange with yellow swirls. I hate those colors.

"Because Ethan gave it to me-

"That one time when he got you those flowers? That time you don't even remember?" I finish with a look.

"But-

"No butts Piper, although yours is looking fabulous in that outfit. Throw that ugly ass vase in the donation or face an ultimate collective flick off." I threaten, glaring at my pouting best friend.

"Fine." She whispers, handing it to Darrin. Got her. Never call bluff on collective flick off.

"Thank god for Skye." He says, happily tossing it to Kenny who places it in the donation bin.

"It's Skylar." I correct, smiling. Piper and I usually were the only ones who could talk any sense into each other.

"So why'd you want that dinky old vase anyways? For real?" I ask when everyone was gone. I guess they understood that I wanted to give Piper a proper goodbye. She sighed, tying her hair into a ponytail. That was a habit of hers. Whenever she was about to say something serious, she'd tie her ginger locks into a ponytail.

"Because I know long distance with Ethan won't work out. We're gonna break up and I guess I just wanted to hold onto everything of his for a little longer before I was forced to let it all go." She admits, looking down. Wow. I didn't even know what to say. She'd been dating Ethan for four years now and they were doing really well. To hear her say this was kind of heartbreaking.
