"Scared or upset?" I ask.
"Upset. If I'm scared, I feel something weird inside and it doesn't go away for a while. Upset just means you'll frown and be all emotional or whatever for a while." Jayce answers. It's been about three weeks of us being together and we're getting along better than when we first started out which is good news. Yeah, he lost his temper a few times, but it never got too out of hand so that was a good sign.
"What about you?" He asks.
"Scared because I feel like fear doesn't last as long as upsetness does for me."
"Upsetness isn't a word." He chides. "What's your excuse since I know English is your first language?" he teases.
"Ha ha. Shut up and kiss me." I pout, turning to sit in his lap after scanning the halfpipe and seeing no one was here since the clouds were gray and it just felt gross outside. I wasn't a fan of PDA so that actually worked to my favor.
"Whatever you say blue." He smiles, pecking my lips lightly. I stay in his lap, but just noticed something.
"You called me blue." I state.
"Yeah. You're wearing a blue dress and have blue lips and you're even in blue socks. Your lips taste like blueberries but he way." He answers, tickling my feet in the process due to the fact that I tossed my shoes off. I giggle and bat his hands away. I smile at the memory of drinking that blueberry slushy with the guys. They warned me that it'd make my lips blue, but I didn't listen.
"Do you not like me calling you blue?" He asks suddenly. I shake my head.
"No I don't mind. Just surprised me is all. It's just, that's what Piper calls me since it's my favorite color. Sometimes even b for short." I explain.
"Oh hell no. Hey how about this? I'll think of a new, ultimate nickname and it'll trump over every other nickname you've ever been given?" He asks, sounding determined.
"If that's what you want Rocket Boy. Now make the most of the fact that this place is deserted and kiss me." I command once more, pulling him by his collar to meet my lips.

"So I'm guessing you don't like riding at all based on your reaction from the halfpipe that day." Jayce says out of nowhere. I stop sipping on my cherry coke and shoot him a questioning look. I thought we were past this. I wasn't up to having another argument with him at the moment.
"My point is, skating is a big part of my life and it'd mean a lot to me if you liked riding something since we're getting a little more serious now." He says. I smile at his words and relish the fact that this isn't an argument before really thinking about it. I like driving a lot but I don't think that's what he had in mind. Wait, when Piper and I were young, we used to ride our bikes everywhere. I don't know when or why, but one day we just stopped. Grew out of it I guess.
"I like bikes. In fact, I've always wanted a motorcycle or a boyfriend with one." I say dreamily, snapping out of it when he gives me 'the look'. I bat my eyes innocently as he rolls his eyes. He does that every time I mention how hot motorcycle guys are.
"Do you have a bike?" he asks, stealing some of my cherry coke. We're at that phase when we don't care about double dipping or drinking from the same container. I loved this phase because I wasn't a germaphobe and I hated it when guys were.
"I do, but it's all rusty and gross probably." I admit, cringing at how awful the condition of my once stellar ride was. It was a royal blue (second favorite color!) with a lilac basket thingy. Before I could drive, that bike was my savior.
