The next day, we were to see Piper so we all left bright and early in the day so we'd have a good couple of hours with her. Let me tell you, morning Darrin is not a happy Darrin. The ride was long and Kenny kept trying to tell lame jokes to keep us entertained while Darrin and I fought over what was playing on the radio. He claimed he should get to pick because he was driving but I said I should because it was my car. Okay my mom's car but still!
In the end, I won purely because he started focusing on cursing Kenny out for telling his stupid jokes. Hell yeah, it's about to hey uptown funk up in here. Bruno Mars is one of my many husbands by the way.
Eventually we got to Piper's house- holy shit more like estate. This place looked like it was out of an Iron Man movie or some shit.
The guys and I slowly get out of the car, everyone mesmerized by Piper's new hou-estate. It's not a mansion, but it's definitely bigger than any of our houses, that's for sure. It was the most gorgeous piece of property I've ever known someone to personally own.
"Look at this sick landscaping." Kenny says excitedly.
"Landscaping? Something is seriously wrong with you." Melanie says, rolling her eyes. "But check out the digs. This house is probably worth more than my life."
"It's probably equal to Skye's and my house combined." Darrin whistles, looking at me.
"You okay Skye?" Melanie asks, concerned. I nod convincingly, but don't feel so okay. Piper has this great new home, life, and start. She probably hasn't given moving back a second thought. I know their family wanted a big house, but did she? Maybe she forgot all about me. About me and the guys...
"What do you think of Killen's enterprise?" Kenny jokes, but he might as well haven't been. The Killen's were well off, but I didn't think they were this well off. I'm pretty well off too, but my parents choose to live in a run-of-the-mill two story home. Sometimes that bothered me, but meeting Piper changed that mentality. But that's a story for another day.
"It's nice." Is all I offer out loud though. "Let's just go inside, yeah?" I say, heading to the front door. I take a deep breath. This is Piper, my best friend since basically forever. We once had a conversation through solely blinking. Maybe everything will just be normal.

"And then he literally wore glasses the next day and quoted Einstein?! I don't believe it!" I laugh out, barely getting through the sentence.
"I'm so serious blue. You'd be surprised at the stupid things guys do to get into your pants here." Piper confirms. She then gasps excitedly all of a sudden and says, "Remember hot dog guy?"
I try not to collapse of laughter at the mention of him.
"How could I forget?" I ask in embarrassment.
"Hey guys, we're here too. So who's hot dog guy?" Darrin pipes up. I blink and realize Piper and I have kind of excluded them. I couldn't help it though. Piper was just my other half.
"Tell em who hot dog guy is b." Piper says with a smirk. I smile at the nickname. Or rather nickletter.
"He's some guy in a hot dog costume that tried to hook up with me and when I said no because I was into burgers, he went and bought a burger costume." I say quickly, hoping a certain detail won't pop out.
"Oh blue, you missed a very important detail." Piper says evilly, rubbing her hands to together. Perfect. It's like she just read my mind.
"They don't need to know that part!" I insist, but Kenny and Darrin start begging Piper to tell them. Melanie looks disinterested, but I can see she's listening.
