"Attention students. We have revived reports of students roller-skating during the UIL tournament last week. I hope those unidentified students realize how disrespectful that is and will not do so again. If we catch anyone skating inside the building again, they will be given detention. That is all, thank you." Principle Morrows voice buzzed through the speaker. Reese and I shared a look, laughing silently. No one knew it was us somehow and that was a good thing.
After school, I planned to go home because I had more homework than usual, but I saw Dominic and it made me stop in my tracks. He was just standing in the hallway, checking his phone, but I felt like stopping by to say hi anyway."Hey." I say, going to him and waving.
"Hey Skye. What's up?" he asks, shutting his phone off.
"Just wanted to say hi." I say bashfully.
"But you said hey." he says, using his phone to point at me smartly.
"Sue me." I say, rolling my eyes.
"I wanted to try something actually." He says suddenly, looking like he remembered something. Try something?"Like...an experiment?" I ask, confused.
"Something like that. Just stop me whenever you want." He says, leaning in. I widen my eyes and gulp, stepping back. I didn't want to stop him, but I didn't...I don't know.
He frowned at my movement, but went for my hand and grasped it lightly. I allowed this and waited anxiously for what was about to happen. He pulled me closer and then wrapped his arms around me securely. I slowly mimicked him and he sighed.
"I-"Sh, don't ruin it." He interrupts, playing with my hair. I thought I should be offended at first, but brushed it off, enjoying the hug.
Eventually he pulled away, but held onto my hand.
"You need to be somewhere?" He asks.
"Home, but not necessarily." I say despite the fact that I should start on my homework."Wanna go for a ride? To Edgeport?" He asks. I smile at that offer because Edgeport is a nice place with a dock and beach-like area. It's a nice place to go for a picnic, but it's also thirty minutes away.
"Won't your parents get mad?" I ask. "It's a school day."
"I won't tell if you don't." He shrugs. I contemplate it and nod, texting Darrin to cover for me for a few hours.
"I'm in." I say, following him out to the parking lot.
"Might wanna wear this." he says when we get there, tossing me a helmet. I breathe in and hold it for a second before allowing myself to breathe back out.
"No. Fucking. Way." I squeak. He chuckles at my reaction, but I'm too busy gawking at the-"Motorcycle. You drive a fucking motorcycle. I've always wanted to ride on these things!" I say excitedly, strapping the helmet on as he puts his own on. I also have always wanted a boyfriend that had a motorcycle but he didn't need to know that just yet.
"Glad you're not against them then." He comments, getting on. I try not to scream because OHMYGOSH he has a motorcycle. I've always wanted a boyfriend with a motorcycle. I got to go on a thirty minute ride on one now!
"This is the best day of my life." I sigh once he starts it up and drives out. He laughs again and tells me I'm adorable which adds to my happiness.
-"We're already here?" I whine, reluctantly getting off.
"Oh please. It was a 20 minute drive." he reasons.
"It usually takes 30." I whine.
"Yeah, well I went a little fast. Now come on, we have limited time." He rushes, grabbing my hand to lead me to the dock.
"Why are we rushing again?" I ask, panting for breath when we stop again.
