Chapter 17

Daniel POV:
I woke up and looked right in front of me. It was the ceiling.  As i turned my head,i fell on my head.
I sat up and rubbed my head. Katie was still asleep,thank god. She barely got any sleep over the past couple days.
I walked down stairs and thought that I would try to cook without burning the house down.
As I started to grab stuff from the fridge, i smelled someone that wasnt supposed to be here.

'Anna' my wolf told me. I turned to find Annas lips puckered and ready to kiss me. She had a small crop top,short shorts and a ton of makeup on her face.
I backed up slowly, but couldnt go anywhere cause the counter was in the way.
So i held my hands out and pushed her away.
"Whats wrong pumpkin? Dont you want to kiss your mate?"she said,trying to look seductive.
"I would like to kiss my mate,but not you," I told her.

She didnt take that as a ticket to leave. She just moved closer to me, until she stopped. I looked at her shoulder and there was a little hand on it.

It was Katie. Her hair was put up and she was all dressed up. Her eyes where a silverish,which ment her wolf took over.

"Get out," she said in a calm voice. Anna just looked at her. Katies hand then started to squeezed on her shoulder. Anna started to cry in pain.

"You arnt going to let her do this too me,are you?" Anna asked. Tears threatning to come out of her eyes. I was trying not to laugh.

"This is her house. I have no say in it,"i told her. I did have some say in it,but my mate is tough. So tough that im afraid that she would win in a death battle between us. Not that it would happen,but if it did.

Katie released her shoulder and ahe ran by the door. "You will come to me one day,Daniel. I am your true love. You will see," she said then shut the door.

I looked over at my mate. Her eyes back to the hazel look,and they where glossy. She looked like she was going to cry.

I wrapped my arms around her body as she did to me. She held me close. "How does Anna know you?" She asked me.

"She came by a couple weeks before the ball.  She told my dad and her mom that she was pregnant with my pups. But i hadn't met her before that day. How do you know her?" I asked worried of what she might say.

"She was Ava and Maddies friend. She would boss me around a bit more then they would. She always talked about you being her true love and her mate," she said walking away. She went to the laundry room and opened the dryer and took out my clothes and gave them too me.

She then walked over to her linen closet and pulled out a suit case.  She then started to pack some stuff in her bag.

My wolf started to worry that she was packing and running. I started to growl a bit. She turned and looked at me.

Katie POV:
He growled. At me?! That Alpha is going to be the death of me. I tuned and gave him a Death glare. Lily was begging to come out. But after that growl she just looked at him. I turned back around and continued to pack some things.

I heard a small whine behind me. I spun around to find him sitting on his hunches. I wondered why or when he shifted cause I didnt hear a thing. I walked over to find his brown wolf looking up at me with those little puppy dog eyes.

"Relax,Danny. Im just packing in case I have to go somewhere. I mean I will have to go to the castle sometime I guess,"I said turning back around and continued packing. I froze when I looked on a table and I found a photo of my family, right before my mom died. I grabbed the picture frame and held it in my hand. I sat down on a bed and traced my fingers over my parents faces.

I felt the bed dip a bit and felt Daniel nuzzle his nose through my arm and laid his head on my lap. I put the picture in my bag and stuffed it within a small space in my closet. I walked back to the bed to see him panting on the bed. I smile and pat his head.

"Awe how sweet,"Someone said behind me. I turned to the familiar voice to find Ava standing in the door way. I hear a growl and found Daniel standing and baring his teeth. I rested my hand on his head, showing him that we would be ok. He relaxed a bit from my touch.

"A couple sitting at home. However you have the wrong mate and so does he. Annas his mate, she said so herself and she is my friend. She tells the truth. unlike you pathetic pup,"She said, looking over my way. I walked closer to her. She smiled at me. I stayed calm for my sake and for Daniels.

"I never lied to you,Ava. Nor Angela or Maddie. Please dont do this. You will lose,"I told her feeling confident.

"Good luck with that. Prison and a dungeon changes someone. For the better. I have gotten better at my fighting skills,"She said getting into a stance.

"So have I," I told her.
