Chapter 26

Daniel POV:
Her eyes gazed at the little boy in her arms. I had gotton worried about them when they took off after Anna was taken down,and the other wolf was brought to the pack doctor

She carried to the castle to help clean him up a bit. He wouldnt leave her side. Especially when she drew him a bath. He looked a little scared. She made sure it was warm and helped ease him into the tub. She gave him bubbles and cleaned him up.

When he got out he looked like a little pup then a rogue. Katie wrapped a towel around him and pick him up. He looked really tired and weak after today. I walked her to one of the kids rooms and he got in some pjs and snuggled into the bed and fell asleep.

"Daniel,what happened to you, " she asked as she took out a wet washcloth and started to clean the cut. I sucked in air and breathed in. It stung,but i wanted to show her i was a brave wolf and no little cut could tear me down.

But it got a little bit worse after that and of course i let out a whine. She placed a delacate kiss on my lips and i relaxed,even after she bandaged the cuts.

"You havent answered my question,Mr," she said crossing her arms over her chest. I looked away and she tried to make me look at her.

But I couldnt. I know it sounded stupid but it happens to me sometimes. I am a soon to be king, I shouldnt be weak, even around my mate, but i am.

"Danny? Please?"She asked me. I turned to look at her then sat on the bed."I went looking for you and the little boy. But then,I lost it when it was awhile since I saw you. I ran and I started to feel cuts on my back and I didnt realize it." I told her. She  looked at my eyes and nuzzled my chest. I just wrapped my arms around her body and pulled her close.

It was perfect,until a knock camr at the door.

"Your highness? The doctor needs to see you. He said the one wolf may not make it," a guard told me.

Katie looked at me. And we both ran off towards the med bay.

Dr. Oland POV:

I looked over at his vitals and they didnt look so good. He lay on the bed in full body. He shifted back a while back,but honestly as a wolf it looked really painful.

As a doctor,it looked really normal. But i couldnt give my opinion on stuff that will hurt or not. Except for giving birth to a pup or two,after all. I am a mom,so i guess i could give my opinion on that.

His heart monitor looked right and his breathing was good. But his injurys looked worse then they sound. He had several broken bones and a concussion and several other things,but i would rather save the details for the King and his family. I heard footsteps in the hallway and turned to find the prince with Katie.

I walked out to the receptionists desk. "Over here,your highness,"I told them. Katie ran in through the door and looked at the poor man. His eyes where closed,but he was breathing correctly and his vitals where still good for the time being.

"Whats wrong with him?" The prince asked. Katie looked up at me,i could see the tears threatening to fall from her eyes.

"It turns out that his body is malnourished and he was thrown pretty hard after that incident. Unfortunately, I don't know how much longer he will last,"I said.

Katie looked up at me, her eyes where red, but she remembered something.

"Will,"She said. I glanced at her. So did the prince. Katie walked up to the man in the bed. His eyes where opening and he was staring at her. "Is your son,Will? What did she do?" Katie asked.

The man looked at her, and nodded his head. Katie looked up.

"That woman came to my house, in her hand a knife. I ran to my wife and 2 children, but she knocked me out. When I woke, they where all gone. There was no blood, so I figured that they where all right. I followed the woman's trail to the castle, and I found her with my boy and the knife to his throat. You know the rest. But please tell me that my boy is ok,"He said. 

Katie looked at the prince. "Your son is fine. A couple scraps and bruises from running in the woods, but he is fine,"He said.

"May I see him?"The man asked. Katie nodded her head and walked off. The man glanced at me. I watched his vitals and they seemed to be doing better. He might make it, but I would need to keep a close eye on him, just in case.

I placed my stethoscope to his pulse as I took his blood pressure, and he was doing quit well. I heard a few feet running to the door and I saw a little hand int the window. I walked over and opened the door to a little boy,who I assumed was Will. He got up and stood next to his fathers bed.

"Is it ok if i give him a hug?" Will asked me. I nodded my head and helped him up. Katie stood in the doorway with the prince at her side. They watched as the little boy smiled again.

"Your highness?" The man asked. The prince walked in and sat in a chair. "Please find my wife and daughter. Please,"He said. The prince nodded his head and looked at the man. Will then ran to Katie and dragged her into the room. She sat down on The princes lap and listened to Will tell his father about the huge tree that Katie must have told him about.

I poked her shoulder and whispered into her ear,"If something goes wrong, contact the front desk."She nodded her head. I stood outside and walked to my office. 

My son was there and waiting for me with a girl. Ever since he came back with The soon to be queen, he kept telling me that he found his mate. I watched as he got up and the girl on his side stood up and held out her hand. 

I gave it a shake and brought her in for a hug. She gasped a bit, a little shocked, but then returned the hug back. 

I pulled back and told her to sit down. Her delicate eyes where watching my every move. "I guess you werent kidding when u said you pretty much live in the hospital,"She told him. He shook his head and I just gave him a smile.

"I'm Holly,"She finally said.

"I am Nicks mother,"I told her. She nodded her head and gave me a smile.

"So what can I do for you two?" I asked them.

"Mom, I was wondering if the four of us would go out to lunch tomorrow? On your day off?" He said looking nervous.

Four of us?

"Did he get you pregnant?" I asked and he turned beet red. She started to laugh and shook her head no.

"I think he meant the three of us, with your husband,"She said.

"Oh...ok"I said with a smile. he walked out with her and his face was still beet red. I looked at the time and walked back to the mans room. All of them where fast asleep.

Will was on his fathers chest, he was asleep his breathing normal. Katie and the prince where on the couch under a blanket.

I walked over and took the mans vitals and he was doing better. But before I left, he grabbed my arm and whispered,"Thank You," before drifting back off to sleep. 

I watched as they all fell asleep and I placed a blanket over Will and walked off to my office to get ready to go home. "The day is done, the night will begin. Lets hope it stays this peaceful,"I said as I shut the light off and went home to finally get some sleep.
