Chapter 10

Daniel POV:
I woke up and got dressed. I ran down the hallway to the kitchen as fast as I could. When I got there father was talking with Anica. She seemed really interested. But when she saw me,she got back to work.

I sat down by father as Anica gave me some breakfast. She gave me a small smile.

"So, I heard that Anna gave you a visit last night," father said. I looked over at Anica who tried to look away.

'Sorry' she mouthed.

"Indeed she did," I said to interested in my eggs to look at him.

"So what happened to you two in your room?" he asked. He didnt even pause. He flat out said it.

"Nothing,Father," I said. But he looked like he didnt believe me. "Father, nothing happened. I found my mate. I am saving myself for her. And Anna already lied to you about being my mate," I said.

He looked satisfied after I said that."Very well. Good luck finding your mate,"He said and left. I paused and looked behind me and then looked at Anica. She gave me a smile and grabbed my fathers plate to clean it."You know,Anna is still after you.She asked me if I would leave so she could be with you,"Anica said cleaning fathers plate.

I huffed and looked over at the door wishing that she didnt run away."How am I going to find her Anica?"I asked. I took out the mask she left behind. Her scent was lingering but it was still there. Anicas eyes grew and she pointed to the mask.

"You can use the mask. Ask what Your mate dropped at the ball. Then if they say it correctly,then sniff them. See if the scent matches,"She said taking my plate away.

"Ok. But I want you to come with me.See if you recognize her,"I asked her. She looked at me like I was kinda nuts.

"Thats sweet,Daniel. And I want to help,but I have work to do,"She said.

"Ill get you out of that work,"I told her standing up. I fell backwards over the stool when I stood up. She looked over the counter and started to laugh. I just layed there.

I got up and got to work on my plan to find her. I wrote something and handed it to an announcer that would tell everybody in town. I sat at my desk,hoping that she would hear that I am looking for her. That I need her.I layed back in my chair till I fell backwards,yet again.

I really needed her.

Katie POV:

  I went into town to get some groceries and more fabric for Ava and Maggie. Since they still believe that they are his mate,They want me to show them how to sew and make things,so that he will be happy.

I had gotten all their fabric and was just about to head back home,but then a man from the palace came out in the open.

"Attention all available she wolfs, Our soon to be king has found his mate. But she has ran away and he is now looking for her. She seems to have dropped something on her way out and it is now in his possession. If it is yours,go to the castle to claim it,"He said then left on his horse before he was trampled by all the she wolfs going to the castle.

"Shouldn't you go with them,"A voice said startling me. I jumped and turned around to find Wendy holding a little girl.

"Wendy. He wont want me when he sees what and who I am,"I said.I dropped my head and saw that the little girl was looking upside down at me.

"He loves you,Katie. He needs you,not those other sl...wolfs,"She said, remembering that she has a daughter here. 

I started to laugh a bit when she realized it almost to late. I looked at the castle and all the wolfs wanting to be her,well me.

I am pretty sure that Ava,Maggie, and Angela will go to the castle. And leave me with a ton of chores to do. But I will be ready when they come back.

I said goodbye to Wendy and her little girl and walked through the woods so I could visit  Mom and Dad before I got home. I walked along the path to the tree. I sniffed and smelled a actual wolf. I looked over and saw a mother nursing her pups. It was a little cold outside  so I grabbed some fabric and placed it over the mother and pups. She licked my hand as a thank you and I kissed her head. I then stated walking back towards the grave.

I found the tree and the grave. I then knelt and gave them an update on stuff. I stood and was about to go over the wall,but I heard a twig snap. I turned my head and looked around. When I saw nothing I went back over and walked home. 

As i opened the door,there was no sound,nobody. I walked to my room and took off my clothes. I havent taken a shower since the other day. When i got out and wrapped a towel around my waist,I shifted to give my wolf,Lily,some room. She hadnt had time to stretch in a while and I like to split my time being her and myself.

Lily was a white wolf with bright blue eyes. She was strong and fast. I shifted and got some casual clothes on. I walked down the stairs and started to sweep,then i heard the twins cry once again as they came through the door.

But Maggie was the one crying this time.Ava looked happy. She came running to me and removed the broom."You will never guess what the prince said. He is coming to all the houses with single she wolfs to find her. Tomorrow. Oh, I cant wait,"She said. She was jumping around.

I looked at Maggie then at Ava."She ripped her dress on the way to the castle,"Ava said. 

"And I need you to fix it before tomorrow,"Angela said.

"Yes,Step-mother,"I said.

I followed Maggie to her room and waited until she gave me her ripped dress so i could fix it for when he comes to visit us tomorrow.

I brought it up to my room and walked over to the sewing machine. I started sewing it. It took 5 min to finish and mend the tear.i walked down and gave Maggie her dress back. I went back to my room and sat on the window sill,looking at the castle and wishing that he would just leave me alone. Then I thought about it.

The royal family and household will be embarrassed because of me and will be kicked off the throne. If i had enough courage to do it,that if he didnt reject me, then i would reject him.
