Werewolf Cinderella

Chapter 29

No POV:

The world started to spin around Daniel as he looked up at the ceiling. Two days since Anna had been transported, and all he could think about was if it could go wrong. If she escaped, they mine as well go into war with her and all of his crazed fans that want him to take them as his mate. 

He took in a deep breath and turned his head to the balcony window and heard laughter. He smiled and got up. He leaned on the railing and looked down to the gardens to find Will playing with the King and Katie. 

Most fathers weren't too keen on their sons adopting since it didn't continue the blood line. But his father was ok with it. He was proud to give a child a home that needed one. 

He then looked at Katie. Then to a drawer by his bed table. He walked over and took a small red velvet box fro it. In it lay a little ring. This ring was important to him for two reasons. It would change his life forever, and it was his mothers. He smiled. The night she had first gotten sick sh had given it to him.

Flashback:

He ran down the hallway to his mothers room. As fast as his little feet could take him. H opened the door to see his father leaning over his mother. Her fragile body laying in bed and taking it easy.

She turned her head and gave a weak smile and pushed her hand out to her mate. "Take care of our son," She said. 

"What are you talking about? You will make it my love, you will,"He said with  small tear in his eye. He got up and walked out the door, not even seeing his son.

"Daniel. Danny,"She called to her son. He peeked his way around the door. She gave him a weak smile and reached her hand out to him. Daniel ran and grabbed is mothers hand. He jumped to her side on the bed and she had squeezed his hand.

He looked at her face and saw the tears falling. "I don't have much more time, I want you to take this,"She said handing him a box.

"But dad said you will be ok, momma. You will make it,"He said. She just had more tears and a stronger smile.

She knew that she wont make it. He didnt know how, but she knew. He looked down and felt the tears flow and flow. His mother placed her hands on his cheek and wiped the tears way and kissed his forehead.

He smiled and looked down at the little box in his hand. he opened it to find a ring on a little red pillow.

"Mamma,what am i going to do with this?" He asked holding it near her. 

"Its for your mate when you meet her,"She said. 

He looked at the ring with disgust. "I dont want a girl. Girls are gross,"He said.

His mother just laughed a little. "So, even your mother is gross?" She said jokingly.

If only she could laugh some more from her sons face. His eyes went wide. "No, of course not you momma,"He said with a big smile. She smiled and coughed a bit.

She then ruffled his hair and brought him in for a hug. She caressed his hair a bit more and put her lips by his ear and whispered, "I will always love you and so will she."

Flashback End

Since then, his father had always tried to look for the missing ring. Especially when his mother died. When he saw her the next day though, she made him promise to never tell his father about where the ring was. And he never did. 

Daniel got up and walked back to the balcony to find them looking at the roses. The same ones that lead him to his mate. They were his mothers. He placed the ring and the box int his pocket and walked down th stairs to find his father looking like he was going to cry.

Daniel placed a hand on his fathers shoulder. "He called me grandpa,"The King said. Danny smiled and laughed.

"How about it grandpa? Can we?"Will said sitting on a bench.

"What did you ask,Will?" Danny asked. "If we could have a picnic for dinner outside? During the sunset,"He said. The king nodded his head and went off to the kitchen to let the staff know of the plans. 

Will jumped into Katie's arms and gave her a big hug. "Miss Katie? Is it ok if i call you mom?" He asked.

Katie froze as sh heard that word com out of his little mouth. She nodded her head and brought him in for a hug and nuzzled his head. Will looked up and Danny wrapped his arms around his mates waist. Will grabbed Daniels face and told him that he was his daddy. Will hugged his family even more. 

"Hey, Will. Do you mid if I talk to mom for just a bit, alone?" He asked. Will nodded and jumped out of his mothers arms and off to find his new Grandpa. 

Daniel grabbed Katie's hand and took her by and old willow tree,The one that looked like her parents grave sights. He got own on one knee and pulled out the little ring box. She brought her hands to her face and looked down a him. 

"In the past long while that we have know each other, I have come to love you. And I know Mates love each other since the first time they met each other. But I mean true love. I have gotten to know you better in the past couple weeks and I feel that our love has gotten stronger. I will love you and our family as it grows. And if It doesnt im ok as long as im with you. I will never leave you or hurt you in anyway. But Katie,Will You Please Marry Me?" He asked her.

Sorry for the long wait. So what will she say? We are coming down to the big moment and the last few chapters before the end.
