Chapter 15

Daniel POV:

I watched as she went and cleaned the dishes. She was the ancient prophecy. She was very special to a lot of wolfs, but none of them are getting anywhere near her without me ripping through them. I looked over at Zach, who was looking at me with a nervous look. I looked at him as if to tell him to spit it out.

"Your father needs you back,now. Its important,"He said. I shook my head. I wasnt leaving. And I knew it was the end of the summer. Which meant that I would be going home soon. But I loved it here, and so did my mate. She wasnt going to leave here, and neither was I.

"Go,"She said coming into the dining room. We both looked at her. She had her arms crossed over her chest and her legs crossed at the ankle. She was also leaning on the the wall. I stood up and looked down at her.

"Im not leaving you,"I said trying to sound manly. She smiled and giggled. She then said,"I will be ok. I can take care of myself." I looked at her. She was brave and tough. I looked over at Zach, who walked out the door and waited outside.

"Im not leaving you. I just found you after you ran away, almost twice. Im not letting that happen again,"I said nuzzling the crook of her neck and inhaling her scent. She placed a hand on my shoulder and placed a kiss on my cheek."Ill be ok,"She said. I knew i didnt want to leave her. I got up and moved over. I looked deep into her eyes and knew that she wouldnt run away from me again. Unless it was for a good reason.

I smiled and placed a kiss on her lips. I ran off into the woods and shifted. Jason ran back home to see father. I hope I wouldnt have to stay away from her for too long. After all, she knows how to run away. But I hope that Zach wont try anything like he did a while ago.

I get it was just a hug, but I just found her. I dont want to just loose her to my best friend. Although she may kill me if I hurt him. She is his friend as well. I walked to my room and got a change of clothes before I shifted. I slipped on some shorts and a t shirt and walked over to my fathers room.

I entered and he looked at me with a smile and a gleam of hope."I heard you found my daughter in law,"He said talking.

I shook my head yes and felt my cheeks turn bright red with heat. "Daniel,Where is she? I would like to meet her,"He asked. I looked terrified. I hadnt realized that she would need to meet the royal house hold. I had just met her, and father wanted to meet her right away.

"So I see son. Well then maybe you could take me to her home if it is alright with her. But son you know she will need to come here eventually,"He said moving to his closet to change into a more appropriate attire.

"I know father. But can you give her some time. She isnt very good with leaving her home. Trust me ive tried. She has lived there since birth,"I told him.

"I understand. Your mother was the same, I gave her time. And she finally came here. But we stayed at her old home for relaxing time,"He said coming out with kacki shorts and a plaid top.

"Shall we,"He said jestoring towards the door. I walked out and we went on a walk through the woods. I followed the path I took when she ran away the first night I met her. We reached the wall, but before we went over I looked to my left and found the willow tree. And within it, Katie and Zach. She was on her knees and placed a flower on their graves.

I walked towards her. She must have heard me coming or heard a twig snap or something, cause when I came near her, she pulled a knife out. Father and I stood back and Zach jumped. She calmed once she saw who we where. She placed the knife back under her sleeve. I walked towards her as she looked down at the ground.

I lifted her sleeve to find a knife sleeve. She looked up at my eyes. I could tell she was a little concerned. I pushed her sleeve back down and held her close. It may seem stupid, but I felt like I was gone for too long.

Anna POV:

I glanced around the tree and saw him hugging her. I also saw her pull out the knife. I slide around and ran into the house. Searching around I looked for something that would help me. But I found nothing.

I heard the door open,So I hid behind a picture. Looking at the door, I saw Katie welcoming someone in. It was the king. He was smiling, more than when he found out I was his sons mate.

He looked around as Katie stood at the door. While everybody was turned around, I snuck out the door and ran home. I count bare to watch my mate betray me.

King POV:

I met Daniels mate. She is kind and welcoming. I looked around her home. It was nice and quiet. I stepped into what looked like a living room. It was tidy with a lot of stuff that looked a little too old to be just hers. I looked farther and found a picture of a man and a woman.

She had blue eyes with blonde hair. The man had dark brown hair and hazel eyes. They looked a lot like Katie. I turned to find her still at the door looking at me as if it was ok to come in.

I nodded my head and she walked in. She saw that I was looking at the picture. She smiled and it was a beautiful smile.

"My parents.They died a while ago, first my mother then my dad,"She said looking at them.

I looked back at them and then at her. She smiled while looking at it. While looking closer, I saw a little white thing by their hands.

I walked towards it, looking at her to make sure it was ok if i moved it. She smiled and nodded her head. I lifted the picture and placed it on a chair. Daniel came through the door after a little run with Zach. He looked in the room to find Katie smiling and tilting her head a bit. I watched her expression change from nervous to happy.

"I havent seen the full picture since I was little. I hid myself when my father got remarried. I felt as if it was better at the time,"She said.

Looking at the photo, I saw a little blonde girl about 4 with big eyes and the looks of both her mother and father. It was Katie. I looked over to find Daniel looking at the picture as well. He started to smile and had a little laugh. He then wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close to him.

Katie then moved away from him and took the picture. On a blank space on the wall was a hook. She stepped on a chair and hung it up. Daniel moved over and helped her down. Looking up at the picture, we all knew that is where it belonged.
