Chapter 14

Ava POV:

How could she do this to us, her own family. I tried to move, but my wrists where stuck. Mom was asleep with Maggie to her side. They had given up when they had gotten caught. They knew nothing was going to happen. And they werent going to get the prince or any lord.

But I wasnt going to give up. Mom and Maggie can be here for as long as they want. But Im going to get out. I may not get the prince because im still friends with Anna and she wants him, so I will settle for a lord that lives in a castle or is near one. But I need Annas help, cause she knows nothing at all.

The prince hadnt announced anything at all about finding his mate. But i will announce it to Anna.

I pushed myself off the wall and landed on the window. I started to gnaw at the chains keeping me here. I bit through both, but it took me a while. I went through and ran off in the rain to Annas house. I watched Anna go to her room. I climbed and knocked. She looked over and ran to the window to help me.

"Ava?!!What are you doing here?"She asked grabbing a towel and handing it to me.I started to dry off.

"You will never believe me,Anna. But I was thrown into the palace prison,"I started making her gasp.I continued. "The prince found his mate, Its Katie. And he had us thrown in because he caught us attacking her."Anna froze when I said that he found his mate, and she wasnt it.

She was furious now and I was there to help lower some steam."When I get my hands on her...I have a plan to take care of her,"She said.

"You want in?"

"You bet I do."

Katie POV:

My eyes fluttered open and I noticed my surroundings. I was in my room on my bed. I tried to move but a small movement around my waist told me I wasnt alone. I looked over and saw Danny sleeping and holding me close. Whenever I tried to move though his grip tightened around my waist.

I couldnt move. Then I just snuggled in with him. I started to kiss his lips and he loosened his grip. I snuck out and he was still asleep. I took a shower and got dressed. I went downstairs to make myself some breakfast.

I heard a huge thump from upstairs. I put down the pancake mix and rush up stairs to find Danny on the ground,like he had just fallen out of bed. I kneel on the ground and place his head on my lap. He opens his eyes to find mine. I start to giggle a bit. He shifted a bit and relaxed. Then he looked at my clothes.

"You werent wearing that when we fell asleep. Where you?"He asked,placing a hand on his chest. He sat up and looked at me.

"No i wasnt,"I said standing.He looked like he was going to ask me something. I started to walk down the stairs, then he stopped me halfway."Would you mind if I took a shower and borrow some clothes?"He asked kinda nervous.I showed him the way to the bathroom and took his old clothes so they could be washed. I gave him one of fathers old outfits. A red t shirt with some shorts.He came out with only the shorts on after his shower

I stared at his bare chest for a sec, it took my breath away. The guy had abs. I looked away before he noticed me staring. I put my hair up in a ponytail and started to make the pancakes. Before he put on my dads shirt, if he ever was going to, he snuck up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

He pulled me close to him and I felt his bare chest against my back. He kissed the crown of my head. I smiled and felt my cheeks heat up. I finished the pancakes and had to move, but he wouldnt let me.

He spun me around and stole a kiss. I broke it off and walked over and set the plates on the table. He sat down and started to eat. I was about to sit down but then the door bell rang. I walked over to get it. I opened the door to find one of my old friends,Zach, at the door. I gave him a hug,cause I hadnt seen him in a while. I hear a small growl. I turn to see Danny charging at his best friend.I used my hand and stopped him in his tracks. He couldnt move after,Zach looked at me and so did Danny.I felt my eyes change to a light grey. Lily was in control now and you dont want to mess with her.

The boys stood back. I stood and Lily retreated back to my mind. I placed my hands on my hips and looked back at Zach. His mouth was wide open, so was Dannys. I just keep looking back and forth at them.

"What?"I asked them finally breaking the silence between all of us.

"How can you do that,Kaits?"Zach asked still looking straight at me.

"What do you mean?"I asked as I moved back to the kitchen.Eating I listened to them.

"Katie,You stopped an Alpha in his tracks. That never happens. And when you stay where you are and dont flinch. You didnt even move at all,"Zach said following Danny into the kitchen.

"So?"I said. "I stopped an Alpha in his tracks. I still dont see what the big deal is,"I said stuffing a pancake in my mouth.

"It means that you have the strength of a bunch of alphas combined. That is never possible and you are calm and at peace with your wolf. those wolfs died centuries ago.,"Danny said.

I looked at my arms. They where skinny. I dont see how I could be all strong. I was so confused at what they said.I got up and walked over to the kitchen to take care of the dishes.
