Chapter 22

Daniel POV:
We sat in a little room. It looked more like a guys dressing room then an actual bedroom. But it was still a decent size.

Nick looked at the door,just wondering if he should make a run for his mate,or wait. After seeing one of those girls talk off,what looked like an alpha male. I wouldnt want to mess with them.It was far too long, So we peeked outsider the door and stood at the balcony and watched people dance. 

Then Nicks mate removed her head phones and set a song to play. I never heard it, but it sounded good at first, then things started to get heated.

Nick POV:

I watched her move and I almost went ballistic when some wolfs where dancing by her and she winked. But I knew that she may run again. She did before and she might again. Then her friend came up behind her and nodded her head towards us. I ducked a bit, but she turned and winked at me. Then gave me a smile and started to dance again.

The room then separated to boys and girls and my mate went back to her spot on the podium. She placed her headphones back on her head and played a few more songs. Daniel pulled me back into the room. I went into a room and sat down on a chair.

We waited for what felt like hours. I fell asleep a couple times. I then heard a click as someone opened the door. I took a peek and looked to find my mate walking in with the other she-wolf."Lets make this quick,"One of them said.

Daniel nodded his head and looked over at me then the other side of the room at Zach. We didnt want them to see us.

"Why are you here,"My mate asked.

"I came to find my mate. She ran somewhere here and I was hoping you two could help me find her," He said to them. My mate leaned back on the arm of a chair.

"She told you not to come for her,"She said. He nodded his head.

"I know, but I dont take orders too kindly from women, even if she is my mate and in danger,"Daniel said.

"Fair enough,"Her friend said. They walked towards the door and motioned us towards it. Zach and I wouldnt move.

"You can come out of your hiding spot boys," my mate said opening the door. "We know you are in here cause i remember 3 boys coming into this room," she sa8d waiting at the doorway.

Zach shimmied out. His mate leaned against the door frame and smiled at him. Then gave him another wink. I smiled and stood out. My mate stood still and blew me a small kiss.

We then all snuck out back and went into their car. The sun started to come up. I hadnt realized how long we where in that room,in the club even. We drove for a while,waiting for the chance to maybe talk to her. My mate drove this car. Zachs drove the car we came in.

As we slowed down into a driveway,i saw a big mansion and all of our mouths went open. "Being the best DJ has its perks,"She said,stepping out of the car. Walking towards the house she takes out her keys and opens the door slightly. And her scent must have hit Daniel like a steam engine, cause he looked around that room frantically.

Daniel POV:
I smelled her. I looked around. I couldnt see her,and Jason was trying to break free and find her.

Then I saw someone move against the couch. Their body tossing and turning. I moved to the other side of the couch to find her. To find Katie,trying to sleep. I looked to the girls,they looked a bit frightened,but calmed.

I moved towards where her head was,and brushed her bangs away from her eyes. They immediately opened and she looked up and scared. Then calmed when she saw me.

"Danny?" She said. I nodded my head brought her in to a hug. I nuzzled my nose into her neck and inhailed her scent. I missed her so much. I got up and moved towards the girls who where now behind Nick and Zach.

"Dont hurt them. They only where trying to help," Katie said,getting up and grasping my arm. I looked at her. I saw bandages along where Ava had cut her. I almost felt tears form.

"Why dont we eat something. I made BBQ chicken with salad and biscuts,"She said. Everybody made their way over to the dining room table with plates and food. We started to eat,but I wouldnt stop staring at her.

Katie tried to leave me. She stayed hidden and she seems to be walking just fine. I want to know why. She must have sensed this,cause she looked directly at me and rolled her eyes to her friends who both nodded their heads.

"Why?"I asked. She just looked at me. I felt hurt form within me. I felt pain as I looked at her.

"I didnt want you to get involved.  I know that you have a duty to the throne, but when she attacked me, I feared the worst. So I ran so you wouldnt have to worry about anything that they came up with. Or even the pain of having to loose me within your own home. I needed to figure out how to stop her and Anna. Alex and Holly just helped me. I knew the roads and mind linked them. They took care of me. They didnt tell you, because I told them not to. It was all me,Danny. They did noting,"She said.

She really didnt want to run away. But I knew that she needs to finish this. But I want to bring her back to the palace, unharmed and show her to father.

"Very well,"I said. "But please come back to the castle. I could care less if they start a war. Harm others..."I started and she just looked frantic at me. As I looked around, they all did. "Ok,I would care, but not as much as if I where to loose you. Katie please. I havent seen you since you where last hurt. In the Castle you will be a bit safer then here,no offense you two,"I said towards her friends. They nodded their heads.

Katie relaxed and looked over at me. She nodded her head. "I will, but not tonight. Its too dark and who knows what could happen at night," She said. We all looked out the window and saw the darkness looming all around the house. She was right. Going outside right now would be a bad idea. So we all settled in, at dinner and got to know how Katie met Holly and Alex. Turned out they where neighbors growing up. Then Katie's parents moved and lived in the house that I found her in. They still kept in contact but it had been a while since her parents died.

Next we all got ready for bed. I sat on Her bed while she freshened up. I looked around and found pictures of when they where little. She looked so cute. I smiled and wished that I had friends like she did growing up.

"You ok,Danny,"She asked coming out of the bathroom. She wore a long shirt and had her hair in a french braid. I just wore some sweats I brought along for the trip. "Yeah. I just never knew that you had friends growing up. It seemed like a fun childhood,"I asked. She walked over and sat on the bed and wrapped her arms around my neck.

"It was till my mom died and my dad remarried. I dont blame him though. He wanted me to have a motherly figure. I only blame him for not seeing who she really was underneath all that so called kindness,"She said. I giggled. I laid back into her lap and she kissed my forehead.

"i heard you didnt get much sleep. Why dont you just lie down and drift off. I will be here when you wake,"She said. I smiled and laid on a pillow and she placed a blanket over me and laid down on her side of the bed. I wrapped my arms around her torso and held her close so that she wouldnt move without me knowing. And for once,I got enough sleep to last me another few days.
