Chapter 23

Katie POV:
I woke up to the light shining in my face. I put my hand in front of my face. I shifted a bit,and felt him tighten his grup around me.

I was still sore and in pain. I looked over and saw him nuzzling into h8s pillow. I smiled and shimmied my way out and made my way to the kitchen to get a glass of water. Looking over at the living room she saw Alex sitting on a chair,looking at the TV. Her shoulders slumped and she looked tired.
"You ok Alex? You look exhausted," i told her. She nodded her head then slid down to the floor.
I smiled and started to drink my water,then winced a little. I had been healing quit well since being here,but i was still sore in some places. I then looked out the window towards the direction of the palace,thinking what would happen once we left here. Would there be a riot to stop me? Would Anna and Ava succeed in killing me? Would I never get the life I wanted and be free? All these questions puzzled me.
I just had to know the answers,even if i didnt like them.
I turned to find Alex asleep on the floor. I started to giggle and i placed a blanket on top of her. I took in a deep breath and went over to a closet where i kept a bag.

It was the same bag that I packed when i was going to move into the castle. I snuck into the room and started to pack all the stuff there. I got dressed and double checked everything as two strong arms wrapped around my waist and i felt a head on the small of my back.

I turned to find Danny holding me close and he was still half asleep. What is it with everybody being ao tired this morning? I turned around and he nuzzled his head into my stomach. "Why are you doing that,Danny?" I asked him.

He looked up at me with tired eyes and pulled me closer.

"I was worried that you might get hurt again. Like the last time you packed a bag. And it makes me think of when we have pups. How close you and i would be then when you hold them," he said. I smiled and ran my hand along his hair as he held me close. I smiled down at him and kissed his forehead.

A knock came at the door. "Love Birds,We need to move now. Anna was seen just outside the town,"A guys voice said. I grabbed my bag and raced out the door,Danny not to far behind me.

I packed everything and the six of us where on our way. I sat in the passenger seat and watched the town go by. I thought about what would happen if I became queen. How many women would hate me? Would Anna ever get to me? Would I be able to see my parents grave ever again? I pondered these questions over and over in my head.

I also found it cool and kinda odd that my two best friends where mates with Dannys best friends. I guess thinks like that happen for a reason. But what would be the reason?

I guess I would figure out later. I looked in the back seat to find the four of them snoring and snuggling into each other. It was kinda cute, and I imagined that I was a mother for once and they where my pups.

Then that kinda got caught in my head. What would I be like as a mother? Would I be a good one? How many kids would I have? Ok I wasnt to worried about the last one,but it was a good question to think aboit later in life.

I turned to where Danny was,in the drivers seat. He kept looking between me and the road.

"Would you like me to drive?"I asked him. He took a quick peek at me for a sec,then back to the road.

"Im good,"He said. I nodded my head and kept looking his way. He looked a bit tired. But if I was driving he could keep an eye on me. But I may look over at him more then the road. Which wouldnt change the dilemma much,except that we would most likely get into an accedent if I was driving and looking over at him.

I looked at the road and saw that we werent to far from the castle. At least I may sleep in a bed tonight. I turned and looked out the window and watched the forest pass us by. I must have dozed off,cause the next thing I know,Alex was pulling the door open and I almost fell out.

"Easy there,Girly. You ok?"she asked me.

I nodded my head stepping out of the car. I looked up and saw how tall the castle was. It looked bigger then when I looked out from my window. And my window was right next door.

"Well here we go,"I said walking up the stairs,feeling a bit nervous,I stepped through the door. Then he comes the King. Happy to see I am ok and happy to see his son healthy and well. Plus to see that he had a successful journey,at least that was my guess.

Looking around,I noticed that this place was huge. A girl could get lost in here.

In other words,I will get lost.
