Werewolf Cinderella

Chapter 25

Danny POV :
We raced to the front gates to find Anna,holding a little boy. I heard a growl and for once it wasnt me. I turn to find Katie growling at her. Most likely for even thinking of grabbing a pup.

"Prince Daniel,my my. Look at us. A forbidden love and a beauty holding a pup,"she said. I looked down at the kid. His green eyes and dark brown hair glimmered. But within those sweet little green eyes,was fear and lots of it.

'Ill take her down. Then grab the boy and run,' i told Katie through the link. She nodded her head and got ready. I stood and walked towards Anna and the boy. He looked so scared. He had tears running down his eyes. I was about to jump,then i found a brown wolf behind her,his teeth snarling. She didnt even notice when it pounced on her.

The knife cut the wolf,but not too bad. I ran to the wolf and pulled him off of her. "Danny,"Katie said. I looked down and Anna was face down. But the little boy was gone. He wasnt squished under her,but where did he go?

Katie POV :
I looked around and tried to find the little boy. I looked towards the woods and found a little body trying to run away.

It was the little boy. I turned. Danny was cuffing Anna and getting help for the wolf that saved this boys life. I made sure no one saw that I was running into the woods. Last time i gave everybody a panic attack. Especially since i was hurt.

I charged and went looking for the little boy. "Katie?!" Danny screamed. I didnt listen. Lily took over a bit and used her good eyesight to try and find him.

30 min and still nothing. I walked to the waterfall and sat down. Danny ran after me,but couldnt catch up. I sat and washed my face with some cool water. That helped me relax and wake me up from my slumber. I heard a rustle and moved towards a tree with an open hatch. In there I found the little boy. He looked terrified,tired,and scared. He had tears running down his face. He tried to back up further into the tree,but it only went so far.

I knelt just outside of the little doorway. He relaxed a bit. After a while,i spoke and he just listened.

"Hi,Im Katie. Do you have a name?" He wouldnt answer. He must have been scared out of his mind. I placed my hand on the tree and looked up. I then realised that he was in one of the oldest trees within these woods. That gave me an idea. I would tell him about this tree,or at least make a story.

"You want to know something?" I asked him. He just sat there. "This is a very old tree. You can tell by the size of the rings inside of that hole you are in,"He looked around. I had his attention.

"This tree was very special back then. The hole in it was created to help wolves who had to run away. It helped them stay safe from those who wished to hurt them. It kept them hidden and protected,keeping them warm at times and a little too warm sometimes," i told him. He laughed a little.

"You know its ok to be afraid,"I told him. He looked up at me and nodded his little brown head. "I am afraid too. Im afraid of what will happen to this world when im gone,or what people will do to others," i said. He looked down and then crawled out of his hidding spot.

I stayed were i was so i didnt frighten him. His eyes where a bright green since he started to cry. He had tears coming down from his cheeks. I gently reached over and wiped them with my thumb. Ge sniffled and crawled into my arms and just laid there.

I cradled him like a mother would to her child. I needed to bring him back to the castle to tend to his wounds,get him some food and rest,and get him cleaned up a bit. I picked him up and started to walk back to the castle. He already fell asleep on my shoulder. He looked so cute.

I heard a howl in the distance. 'He is looking for us. Cant I tell Jason where we are?' Lily asked.

I smiled and she took that as a cue. I walked for about 10 more min till Jason and Danny found me. He looked at the little boy sleeping in my arms. He tilted his wolf head and sniffed the little boy.

I just gave him a glare. He whined and shifted behind a tree. When he came out,all he was wearing where basketball shorts. His hair looked ruffled,his eyes looked tired and red. He was dirty and almost caked with mud and a few scratches. I heard a wimper fromt he little boy.

I held him close. "Its ok. Its ok,this is just a friend of mine,"i told him. He relaxed and nuzzled his head into my chest to try and get away. Danny came up to me,then I saw the real damage.

"Danny,what happened?" I asked. He looked down at his cuts and small bruises. "I may have ran into a bear,while looking for you,"he said like it was no big deal.

"A BEAR?!" I asked him in a higher voice. He nodded his head. "Can we talk about it later and just go home," i nodded my head. The little boy was asleep once more.

I walked towards the castle, with Danny not to far behind,when I heard a little voice say,

"Will."
