33 ∞ cause of death: choking on her own fist
Lily grabbed Isaac's arm to stop them as they reached the doors to Derek's hideout, turning to face him urgently. Several things were running through her head and while she was still shaken from what had just happened, she was still aware enough to know that she needed to talk to Isaac. "Listen, you can't tell anyone about what happened," she pleaded, "Especially Derek." She specified him because she knew that he was Isaac's alpha so he might feel inclined to tell him. If Derek found out, he'd want to know what she had seen and she didn't want to tell him that she'd seen him holding a dying girl. It was something personal and she felt he deserved his privacy.
"What?" Isaac frowned, "Why not?"
She rolled her eyes, "Various reasons but you don't need to worry about those." Glancing at his face, she saw that he looked really surprised and uncomfortable about the matter. Grimacing at his obvious ambivalence, she squeezed his arm, "Just please Isaac, let's leave this between us. Do not tell Derek-"
"-what don't you want to tell me?" someone spoke from behind her. Damn it.
Lily froze, eyes wide and breath held. Locking onto Isaac's eyes, she whispered, "Please tell me that Scott and Stiles are the ones behind me and they've just perfected their Derek impression?" Isaac sent her a look that meant that he felt sorry for her and that he didn't know what to do. Realising that she was screwed, Lily sent him a panicked smile, "Well I'm gonna go now." She tried to speed away but she felt a hand grip onto her arm. Grimacing, she shook her head, "Or I'm gonna stay." His hand was warm on her skin, his touch lighting up her skin like a match lighting a flame. Biting her lip, she sent him a quick glance, eyes locking onto his slightly angry ones. She remembered what she'd seen, the way he'd held the girl like she was everything to him and found her eyebrows furrowing in emotions that she had yet to decide upon.
"What are you guys doing together?" Derek frowned, looking between the two suspiciously.
Isaac gaped in surprise at Derek's annoyance, eventually answering, "You told us to find out information about the Kanima-" Lily tried not to be hurt by the fact that Isaac had only tried to talk to her because he was sent to get information.
"-from Scott and Stiles," Derek cut him off, "Not from Lily-"
"-okay, I'm gonna stop you right there before you say something along the lines of 'she's off limit' or anything like that because if you do, I might just try and choke myself with my fist," Lily rolled her eyes, "Which would be way better than choking on the all the werewolf testosterone you're sending out."
They both sent her confused looks before Derek turned back to Isaac, raising his eyebrows, "What happened Isaac?" Lily shook her head, sending him looks that meant 'do not tell' and hoping that he wouldn't. He didn't seem like he would, looking awkwardly between the two but he remained silent – his mouth shut. This obviously angered Derek as the man closed his eyes tightly, releasing a long breath. "Isaac," Derek spoke, his jaw clenched, "Give us a moment."
From his side, Lily shook her head vigorously; praying Isaac would remain loyal to her. He had met her first – he'd even taken her to the formal but at the same time, he'd only spoken to her earlier because he needed to find out about the Kanima. Obviously he was torn as he looked between her and Derek, a frown on his face. His eyebrows were furrowed and he visibly gulped. "Isaac," Derek repeated his words, a warning in them. Isaac released a deep sigh, sending Lily an apologetic look before disappearing into the hideout and leaving her alone with Derek. Why was it that she was always being left alone with Derek at the wrong times? It seemed someone always ruined the moments she wanted alone with him but when she felt they shouldn't be, that was when they were.
