Oh what a beautiful morning

I hadn't really slept and yet at 6am I was wide awake. I had thought over what soph had said 'she's just having fun' and I decided to take it on board

I was simply going to leave the situation. If she wanted to flirt with Finn for the next 2 weeks I'd just have to ignore it because I knew it wasn't going to take away our 17 year friendship.

On the table next to the bed there was a pad of paper with the hotels logo on the bottom and an attached pen.

I started writing:

Just gone down the pool meet you at breakfast at 9?

I wasn't going to let jealousy ruin the holiday so I left the note by her hand and took my trunks and towel from the top of my suitcase.

I headed into the changing rooms pulled on my trunks and went to the showers. I kept kept kept thinking about last night and what had gone on. I knew I had to stop torturing myself so I took a deep breath and walked into the pool. I threw myself into completely laps furiously working up a sweat - this took away all the stress and thoughts as I mindless powered up and down the pool
