My eyes flash open as the burning sun beams down on me. I am outside in some sort of desert. Where am I ? I slowly get up, the sun sarting to leave its mark on my skin. I brush my raven black hair away from in front of my eyes. Why am I here?

I look around at my surroundings. There is sand. Sand everywhere. I can't see the end. I see one tree, only one. It is wilted and most likely dead.

Placing my hand above my eyes so I can see better, I look at the sky, the sun is high maybe even at its highest point.

I want to move, figure out where I am and get out of the scorching heat the desert brings, but not right now. Right not I should go to the tree and hide in the small shadow it provides.

I start walking, stumbling around. I had never walked on sand before and it felt like I was learning how to walk again.

When I finally made it to the tree I slumped down against the trunk, and close my eyes. The questions tumbling through my head, Where am I? Why am I here? How did I get here? Who am I?

My eyes flash back open at that question. Who am I? Why dont I remember this? I should remember at least my name. But I dont. I squint hard trying to remember even small facts about myself. I like the colours green, black and gold. Good thats a start. I keep trying. Im not from here. Im from far away. But I dont seem to remember where. Its as if someone went inside my brain and took out all the memories of home and myself and my family. Its as if someone didnt want me to find my way back home. I will though.

Ill prove them wrong. Ill find my way back home if its the last thing I do.
