{ Layana }

My eyes flash open, the light nearly blinding me after the constant darkness from my last memories.

I begin to sputter and cough, a piercing pain going through my chest.

When my eyes grow accustomed to the light and my coughing ends, I look around the room.

It appears to be asgardian and I let the slightest smile apear on face at the thought of being home. As I take in the sight of the room I slowly turn my head to see each side of the room but when I look to the right, I find my favourite part.

"Daddy!" I say as loud as my coarse voice will permit.

I look at his pale face and his green eyes. His black hair is slicked back as always. He is wearing the same green, black and gold outfit from my first dream but he isn't wearing the cape. He looks as if he's been crying.

"Layana!" He whispers in a tone of happiness relief and love.

I can see tears forming in his eyes again and smile beause I know that they are tears of joy.

" I love you daddy." I say.

He smiles.

I look around as the healers come in to check on me. I had never gone into this room before but I remember seeing the healers around the palace and it makes sense.

They look shocked as of they hadn't known I was here or something but I decide to brush I off and smile at them.

They smile back, still looking shocked, making me truly wonder what happened.

"Layana, I trust you're doing well." One of them says, obviously still trying to figure this out.

I nod, suddenly noticing a pounding pain in my head. How did I not notice this before?

The healer who spoke to me, must notice my pain because she hands me a glass of water, telling me it will help. She's right, it does.

After I drink the water and my headache fades away, I look back at my dad, and smile.

He looks deep in thought, as if someone could walk up to him and attack him and it would be as if it were a sneak attack.

"What's wrong daddy?" I ask, my voice stronger now that I've had water.

His eyes filcker to mine, showing wory and concern for a moment, but he blinks it away.

"Nothing Layana. Nothing at all" he says after a moment, with a comforting tone.

I look at him for a moment. Being the daughter of the god of mischief, I have learned how to tell when he lies, and that most definitely a lie.

Suddenly a loud bang followed by a crash erupts in the palace and everyone freezes as if glued in spot.
