An image of Elsie flashed through my mind as i stopped before thinking her name. I grab be the sides of my head and tried to push her out of my thoughts. Stop it.. I won't allow myself to drown in pity again, I'm much stronger now and i shouldn't let such simple things bring me to depths of misery. I walked into the bathroom and dropped my robe on the floor as i stepped into the soothing warm waters of the tub. I breathed a sigh of comfort as i rested my head against the back of the tub as i smelled mint and chocolate in the steam of the bath. I had quite a relaxing time this afternoon, i actually do look forward to seeing him again. I relaxed in my bath and bathed myself as I knew Lucius was busy cleaning up the dishes in the kitchen. I didn't mind i felt like being alone for a short while. I left my bath and dried myself off as i walked into my room not bothering to pick up my robe. I went to my vanity and brushed my hair of all its tangles and then wound a ribbon around it to keep it held up as i went to my closet. I grabbed a long white spaghetti strap night gown and slipped it over my head. It was very simple and reminded me of the summer dresses mother would bring us to sew patterns as she worked. I walked to my bed and climbed underneath the blankets and laid on my side waiting for Lucius to come in and bring me my water.

"Young mistress i have brought your water, i see you bathed yourself."

I didn't answer him as he walked around to the table beside my bed and sat the glass down. I leaned up and drank the water quickly and set the glass down and watched as he pulled the blankets over and fluffed the pillows behind my head.

"Mistress is everything all right?"

I leaned back and rested my head on the pillows and waved my hand to dismiss him, i knew what was waiting for me when i slept. I just wanted to get as much sleep as i could tonight.

"Nothing is wrong Lucius, you are dismissed. I want Rose tea for breakfast instead of Green. Good night Lucius."

Lucius bowed and turned off all the lights as he closed the door bidding me goodnight. Leaving me alone in my room as my eyes closed and i fell into slumberland.

Jade's Dream

The air was cool as i walked along the pathway through the darkened areas of our garden. I couldn't sleep, and i always felt relaxed after sitting next to our pond. The fishes swam swiftly through the clear water that reflected the moon up above in the sky. It was so peaceful, the way the crickets chirped and the faint sound of animals off in the distant as the wind blew through my hair. If only Elsie was still here with me, she would enjoy the way the moon shone right now. Her favorite time of the day was when the moon was at its highest.

"Jade.."

Huh? Thats odd i could have sworn I heard.

"Jade come and play with me."

Elsie. I felt my breath stop in my throat as i looked at my little sister standing in the shallow of the pond across me, her hair was still the sweet sunlight blonde as her eyes shimmered blue gems in the moonlight. I felt my feet move towards her as i waded through the pond to get to her. She began giggling and ran towards the stairs that lead to the balcony.

"Elsie come back, wait for me."

"Haha, come on Jade run faster i want to play."

I pushed myself faster as i began breathing heavily, i tripped on a step and fell scraping my knees, but i picked myself up and took off running once again. I turned to look for her as i listened to her giggling, i began running slowly and then stopped in horror! She couldn't have been more than a few feet from me as she stood on the balcony ledge of our home. What was she standing on that ledge for its dangerous!
