Ciel's POV

It was close to dinner time when i arrived at her home... Lucius told me that Alois kissed her even though she did her best to politely push him away so she would not kiss him, this enraged me and i immediately set out to her home to keep my fiancé safe from his advances. Lucius took me to her room where i saw her laid out on her bed fast asleep. If she slept now, she'll be up for the night... why would she sleep? I sighed as i moved closer to her bed, she seemed so peaceful.. so.. happy. My body was moving on its own and i soon found myself laying down on the bed looking at her, my head rested on the pillow and my eye looked over her features. Her hair had fallen to cover her face slightly underneath the wavy bangs of brown, her face was soft in her expression as she breathed quietly in her sleep. She was so beautiful.. and she was mine, i looked down at my hand as i took hers in mine. I lifted it up and held it firmly in my hand, i moved myself closer to her and if i leaned my face in i could kiss her, but i refrained and kissed her hand softly smiling. Her eyes opened slowly and i moved my hand to tuck the stray hairs away only to rest it upon her lower cheek gently cupping her face.

"Ciel... you came."

"Of course i did, when another man tries to take a man's betrothed away. It is required of the man to come to her aid... Lucius told me... Do not worry, I am not mad at you..."

"But i should have kept him from me..."

I smiled at her and rubbed my thumb on her cheek as i kept whispering to her.

"And he would have followed... I should have known he would try something like this, but don't worry I'm here now.. He won't lay a hand on you again.."

She smiled and then leaned forward kissing me softly for a brief moment before pulling away to smile again.

"Thank you my darling.."

I can't remember how long we stayed like that, our hands locked in the other, our eyes staring at each others and our lips curled into smiles as we sat in silence just enjoying one another's company.

"Mistress.. Young Lord.. Dinner is ready."

Jade sat up slowly and her hair was only slightly bumpy and i chuckled while pointing it out to her. I went to smooth it out but she stood up from the bed and went over to her vanity and began brushing out the long tresses of her hair. I smiled as i stood next to Lucius watching her fix her makeup and fix her hair. I never got to see her dress before, but even without her makeup she was still beautiful. She rose from the small stool she sat on and straightened out the wrinkles of her dress, i now noticed it was a deep gray color with pale pink rose petals scattered all over the dress. It was sleek and slender on her and it greatly flattered the curve of her body as she walked.

"Let's go... I'm certain Alois will be ecstatic to see you."

I chuckled while linking her arm through mine, we smiled at each other the entire time but neither of us had said a word... I don't know what made her so happy, but seeing her happy was bringing me joy. We made our way down the staircase and moved together perfectly in sync with our steps to the dining room.. where we saw Alois sitting there looking very well dressed but unhappy at my appearance.

Alois's POV

I was sitting in her dining room, i was dressed in a very fancy suit and i felt certain she would be impressed by how handsome i looked. The dining room had three plate settings though... i wonder why.. maybe Lucius misheard her and set out three plates, i'm sure Jade will have him fix the error when she arrives. I sighed as i thought of the kiss again, so soft and gentle. It was burned into my brain and i wanted more of her kiss. I heard the door open followed by the sound of Jade laughing softly. I stood up and smiled, perhaps she thought of something amusing, as i turned around my anger started to boil inside me.. it was him.. Ciel. How in the world did he get here so fast!! She was supposed to be alone with me tonight... my plans are not going the way i thought they would.
