Ciel's POV
Madame Red had mentioned this place to me before she left, i wonder if Jade will find anything she likes here... I didn't want her workers to interfere like they had last time, although she found wonderful dress it wasn't as pleasing for me since they all looked at me indignantly when i suggested clothing options to her. Jade was standing by my side closely as her butler walked behind her looking around.
"It appears we have found an old dress shop.. and the dresses seem to pertain to the wedding theme.."
I raised my brow at him, no one said anything.. why was he-
"Ah, so thats why we're here.."
Huh? oh maybe Jade asked Lucius a question when i wasn't paying attention, i need to stop diving into my thoughts.
"Ah yes well you see Madame Red made a jest at me about this old shop, and i thought it would be nice for you to well um... maybe."
I rubbed the back of my neck trying to fight back the blush that threatened to form and i looked to the dress next to me and began fiddling with the fabric between my fingers as i muttered.
"find you a dress...."
Jade's POV
A dress.. right. for my future wedding.... But we just got engaged, surely he knows its a tad bit soon to be looking for things like this. and shouldn't he be worrying about his case.
"Ciel.."
I took his hand in mine and smiled at him.
"I am touched that you brought me here, but i think we should save this for an0-"
My eyes widened as i looked to the side of him and saw a dress upon the wall that looked breathtaking. My mouth was left slightly agape and Ciel turned to see what i was looking at. The dress was gorgeous, it was long and white with swirls and lines of black and a floral designed bodice with loose sleeves. If a fairy existed this would be the dress of their queen. It was simply breathtaking and i felt myself walking towards it with wide eyes like a child gazing at a new toy in the shop window. I placed my hands on the fabric and it was soft and smooth under my touch and my eyes travelled up and down as i followed the curls and swirls of the black across the white.
"Do you like this one?"
I blinked and looked at Ciel who was standing beside me smiling while i had been admiring the dress.
"Yes.. very much, its beautiful.."
Ciel smiled more and motioned to one of the shop keepers for them to come to our side.
"Yes how can i help you."
It was a slightly elder lady wearing work clothes that seemed old and dusty, i was afraid that if anything touched the fabric it would unravel before my eyes. But she had her hair pulled into a bun and small strands framed her face and it was clean of dirt so i felt sure that she was of some moderate class and not of the street as her clothes would imply. Ciel took the dress from my hands and handed it to her with no regard of gentleness and rather bluntly as he ordered her about.
"Yes she would like to have this fitted and we'd like this done by the time we leave."
The woman looked like she was about to faint at the small time frame she was given to adjust the dress to my tiny size. Now i am not one to disregard quickness and just allow them to take their time, but she looked so frail and so heavy hearted when looking at the task that would be laid upon her that i felt it necessary to take this into my own hands. I placed my hand on Ciel's and spoke gently to him while gesturing to the woman and the dress she held.
"Now darling, this is a rather large sized dress and i am a very small and petite person. Perhaps we should buy the dress here and allow my seamstress to do the fitting. This way we can have the multiple sittings required, please dear it would be much more simpler.."
He sat there thinking for a moment before he nodded his head smiling.
"Sounds wonderful, now."
He turned his attention from me to the elder woman who looked like she had a boulder lifted off her shoulders after hearing him consent to my idea.
"How much does this dress cost?"
"Well this dress is priced at 450 pounds, but seeing as your such a nice young couple i'll let you take the dress for 300."
300 pounds? compared to how much my other dresses cost, this seemed like a small pebble in the pond. Ciel nodded and paid for the dress for its original pricing of 450 pounds which made the elderly lady glow with joy, a sight i could tell bothered Lucius who stood by the door while a very timid shop keep girl looked at him blushing a deep scarlet. I rolled my eyes as i looked at Lucius who was smiling at me with that devilish grin when i drew closer.
"Allow me to carry your bags young lord.."
"I can handle carrying the bags myself Mr. Dracovich... "
Ciel glared at Lucius and kept the bag out of his reach. Honestly can Ciel not be jealous of every man in my life...
"Lucius just follow behind us, we are going to be walking."
"Jade?"
Ciel seemed confused by this notion which i found odd. We walked here, why not walk back? Did he plan on hiring a taxi to get back to the manor.. Well if he did then he is sorely mistaken, for if you walk somewhere it's only natural that you walk back.
"Ciel we walked here and i assume you know i intend on walking back.. I do not see a reason to hire a car when we can just as easily get to our destination by foot."
He mumbled under his breath as he began walking beside me along the streets of the busy london square. I could tell he was tempted to hook my arm through his because he would reach his hand out slightly but return it to his side clenching his fingers into a tight fist. This made me smile slyly seeing him struggle with the internal battle of his brain, it was so cute to see him get all flustered over me. We walked at a steady pace and soon we were walking on gravel and pebbles instead of smooth stone and concrete. When we reached this part of the journey Ciel took my arm and pulled it through his while resting my hand upon his arm. A small smile formed on his face and i looked at him sweetly while saying.
"You know it might be easier to just hold my hand... that way our bodies aren't as close and we don't risk stepping on each other."
He seemed a little upset by my saying this and he just looked at me and said softly.
"I want you this close to me... your my fiancé, i want to have you as close to me as i can have.."
I didn't know how to answer that... but soon i saw the house come into view and he kissed my hand while motioning to the house.
"I have some business to take care of in town, i shall be back later on tonight but for now i must leave you."
I smiled and turned to walk inside and when i reached for the door Sebastian stepped out holding a small suitcase and smiled at me.
"Dinner is waiting for you in the dining room, i hope you enjoy your meal."
"oh ..well thank you sebastian.. "
I looked back at Ciel as Sebastian came to his side and I smiled softly letting Lucius walk inside ahead of me.
"Good luck.."
Good luck... that was what i said to him.. what i said before i went inside the house completely unaware of the danger he was going to face.. unaware of the criminal he would be chasing tonight. Unaware that he would come face to face.. with Jack the Ripper.
