Ciel's POV

If women are disappearing because of this man why on earth would she assign a women to investigate! I didn't let my confusion show on my face though as i looked at Jade. She sipped her tea and then set it down on the saucer as i spoke.

"But Jade, if you attend one of the balls what is to stop this man from taking you as well?"

She looked at me and smiled gently while giggling, was she mocking me? This was not something to be laughing about, i don't want some madmen to take her and end up making her disappear like the rest.

"Ciel, if i didn't know any better i would assume your concerned for my safety. As for him abducting me, that is precisely what i want him to do."

"Of course i'm concerned about you Jade, and you saying that you want him to kidnap me only makes me even more nervous. Why on earth would you want him to take you?"

I was sipping the tea as much as i could to try and calm myself, i was on the verge of shouting after hearing her say she wanted to be taken.

"Because if he takes me i'll know where he takes them and what he does to them."

"So what will you do once captured?"

"After i make note of the location i will escape from him."

"How do you expect to manage that, you will most likely be locked up if he takes them prisoner."

I was asking her question after question and she only smiled at me with each reply, i wondered if she knew how much this whole idea set me on edge. The thought of her sitting in a cage while waiting for whatever that man would do to her made me furious.

"Ciel.."

She suddenly rose from her seat and walked over to me and took my hand in hers. I was still frowning as images of what could happen flashed through my mind. I looked at her face as she began speaking to me gently.

"I need you to understand that i am well aware of the dangers that await me for this mission, but as a servant to the Queen it is my duty to find out whats happened to these women. Now let's talk of something more cheerful and not so dark, it is a beautiful day outside and if you frown any longer i'm afraid your face will get stuck this way."

She reached her hand to my cheek and my eyes widened at her touch, she was smiling so softly at me that i felt my face relax. What is it about her smile that makes me want to smile back, but i don't know how to smile so sweetly like she does for me. She removed her hand from my face and also released my hand as she went back to her seat. I was tempted to kiss her again, but she moved away before i could muster up the nerve.

"Very well Jade, we will speak no more of dangerous operations. However i would like to know your opinion on guns, we are in a firing range i presume."

I saw her raise a brow as i mentioned guns, i myself kept one with me at all times i just have it hidden away and out of sight.

"Guns are loud and give away your location if you are trying to sneak up on your enemy. Besides it's much easier to frighten someone with a gun, but it is far more intimidating to use a bow and arrow."

I found myself laughing as i drank more of the specially blended tea while listening to her opinion. Too loud? It's not like she goes out and kills people in the dead of night, i would imagine a bow and arrow is too large to carry around and would make you seem suspicious.

"Yes but a bow and arrow is quite odd to carry, so what do you use to protect yourself while out in the open. I highly doubt you can hide your bow under your dress."
