Lucius's POV

Something is wrong as i stand here idly talking with Sebastian about our masters. I notice the dance that Lady Shadowhive is dancing with the Earl Trancy is the tango, but he seems to have something in his coat pocket as he grips her waist. It looks like a vial of some sort.

"Lucius if you stare at your mistress any longer you may end up meeting her gaze and distract her from her intentions."

I look at the other demon butler i stand with in annoyance, this was not a matter to be mocking me in.

"Sebastian look at the Earl's pocket as he touches my humans waist, he is hiding a vial and it is most disturbing to me. From what i can tell its a form of sleeping drug, i can only see bad things happening as i sit here obeying her orders."

"Ah yes now that you point it out i can see the vial as he's caressing her neck. Wouldn't your mistress be able to feel that as she's pressed against him, or does she dismiss it as his excitement from the way she teases him with her body."

Ah yes the way she is moving is one of the few things that makes obeying her orders of remaining by the door until needed bearable. Her body is so flexible and can bend in so many ways that it sends my mind reeling with what i could manage if it weren't for her damned orders that set me back.

"Your lucky Michaelis, you don't have a temptress as your master."

"Your correct on that Dracovich, you must have your hands full with temptation always rubbing against you, but i have my own battles with Phantomhive. You see he enjoys having himself in the exact middle of danger and i always end up having to sew my clothes up after his jobs."

I can't help but laugh as he sighs from mentioning the sewing, i can see why he would be on edge tonight seeing as his master ordered him to remain with me after hearing Jade's orders. It's like watching a baby bird try and fly from the nest, you want to look away in case they fall but you must watch for that very reason so you can catch them. Well the dance is done and they seem to be making their way over to Ciel who has thought of touching Jade in the exact manner Trancy just did while he watched the dance. It brings a smile to both mine and Sebastian's face as we see them all conversing and then we see another butler arrive. Wait did Trancy just slip something into one of the mugs? He's handing it to Jade! Damn it seems that we will be drugged for a portion of this evening.

"I must go to my mistress's aid seeing as she is about to drink a drugged beverage, you don't mind my absence do you Michaelis?"

"Not at all Dracovich, and I might as well join my master's side in her absence seeing as i need to keep him from being drugged as well."

We both approached them as they said a toast and Jade took quite a large gulp of her beverage, perhaps it was the dancing that made her thirsty. The drug seems to be acting quickly because she is already wobbling while she stands still. I move and place a hand on her waist to keep her from stumbling any further back.

"Young Mistress."

Her face looks like a child's as she stares at me absentmindedly. I removed the mug from her hands and took hers in my own as the Earl of Phantomhive asked if she was feeling well. I can see her shaking her head very slightly at me as she forced a smile upon her face and spoke gently to the Earl's

"Yes I'm quite fine, it's just a bit stuffy in here. Lucius help me to the patio so i can get some fresh air, i'll be back in a moment."

I guided her slowly as he steps became clumsier the more she moved, whatever this drug was it was taking effect quickly. I quickened my pace and opened the patio doors pushing her through them and closing them to the ballroom behind us. She started leaning to the side as i stepped to her again and held her up in my arms as i walked her to the ledge. I could sense her body losing strength in her legs as she stammered to talk. I tilted her face to mine and gazed into her eyes as they began clouding over.
