Jade's POV

It had been two days since Ciel left my home, i missed him more and more everyday. Yet, anytime Lucius entered the room i wasn't as lonely and this aggravated me. No! I won't let myself fall for that damn demon.. I would repeat to myself anytime i caught a glance of him looking at me. But no matter how hard i fought myself, i found my heart racing whenever i caught that sly grin, my body grew warm when he touched me or when he spoke softly to me. I was sitting at my desk looking over the program for the upcoming opening of the fall dresses my company would be releasing when i heard a soft voice emit in my office.

"my.... my lady."

I knew it wasn't Lucius because he wasn't afraid or even bothered in the slightest to interrupt my work. I didnt bother lifting my head as i kept adding small details to the dresses as i spoke to the person who stood timidly in my office.

"What business do you have here.."

"I.. I have information about the man with the scar."

My pencil snapped in my hand and my head lifted to see a small young girl from my underground committee fiddling her thumbs together eyeing the cake on the tea trolly. Lucius leaned down and whispered in my ear softly.

"She speaks the truth, rumors have circulated around your store about the appearance of a man with a scar. However the man she speaks of is just some poor soul with a scar.. It is not the man you seek."

I felt my hope of finally getting my revenge slip away at this, how much longer until that man came back... He had managed to leave the country only two years ago and i have been pacing and searching for leads on his location ever since.

"This man is of no concern to me girl, he isn't the one i seek."

"bu...but. But you said to tell you of a man with the scar, and he looks just like-"

I stood up from my chair and stared coldly at the trembling girl before me.

"If i asked you to tell me of every man with a scar, i would have you flooding my office every day. Accidents happen to men all the time, this man just had an accident that left a scar similar to the man. He isn't the one i am after.."

I sat back down while watching the girl droop her shoulders, i was sure that she was hoping to receive the reward i set for the deliverance of this man. A small fortune of ten thousand pounds, but without the proper man she would be receiving nothing.

"Return to your post or family.. wherever it was you came from, i have nothing more to say or hear from you."

She nodded her head and left in a quick pace leaving me alone in the office again.

"Young Mistress.."

I raised my head and looked at Lucius who was looking at me intently, but as for the reason i could not determine.

"What"

"You have not spoken a single word to me, not even for orders. Is there something troubling you?"

I stood from my seat and walked away from him not uttering a single word to him. I was going out of my mind, i needed to see Ciel. I needed him to push Lucius from my thoughts. I had ordered Lucius away from me after i ran from him three days ago. I had even stopped allowing Lucius to dress me and had my maid Natalia help me dress in the mornings instead. I was walking through my manor and was about to walk down the steps when i felt a hand grip my arm, I felt anger rising rapidly and i turned to see Lucius standing there just staring at me... staring at me with those deep blue eyes and yet they were changing. They weren't staying the blue color, they were turning a sea green.
