Dressing For The Ball

Ciel's POV

The Viscount's ball was tonight and i was busying myself with getting ready. Sebastian had taken the wig Jade had given us and was pulling it into pigtails while curling the ends of them. The wig was the same color as my own hair which i thought was clever since this meant i wouldn't have to worry about hiding my own hair under the wig. Sebastian placed the wig on my head and arranged the pig tails to flow smoothly and curl up at the ends making it look most appealing. The last thing i needed to do was put on the pink dress we bought for me to wear to the ball. I groaned as i looked at it, i hated this plan but it was the best i could think of and i bet the count would fall for it perfectly. I stood up as Sebastian pulled the dress over my head and began tying the laces and adjusting the ribbons and bows to make sure everything looked perfect.

"Young Master you are transforming perfectly, i doubt anyone would be able to recognize you dressed in this attire."

"Good, if anyone found out i was dressed as a woman my reputation would be ruined."

"The young lady knows about it and you seem to be fine."

"She is my beloved, she has no intention on ruining a reputation with someone she is involved with. That would backfire on her for being with the person of such a horrid standing in our reputation oriented society."

"So your saying that since she is involved in a relationship with you, she will stay silent about this little endeavor of yours?"

"Of course, for if she ever dressed as a man and i were to know i would not want any of my acquaintances to know of this for it would look shameful on me as well."

Sebastian nodded as he finished fixing the dress and stood up to grab the pink hat that sat upon the dressing table. He draped it on my head lightly and then weaved the ribbons through the wig to keep it in place as he tied the strings under the back of my head to keep them out of sight. If you had looked at it from in front of me it would seem the hat was being held by an invisible force atop my head. I held my head up high as he moved the white ruffled choker around my neck and fastened the locks before stepping away to allow myself to see how i looked in my full disguise. My hair was long pigtails underneath a pink hat with fake flowers around the front rim as the bangs of my natural hair covered my eye instead of my normal eyepatch. I thought about putting in the glass contacts but they would bother me too much during the night and distract me from my goal so i voted against it. The dress was a light pink with white ruffle as the top edge as a black line went through the center and encircled my chest. The bodice of the dress was tight like a corset, most likely because of the loose hanging shoulder straps of the dress which met in the center underneath a fake flower and black&white striped bow. Two black lines went down the sides of the dress, well the front sides, and met at the base with white ruffles in small bows. The bottom of the dress was lined with white ruffle and my arms were adorned with long black gloves that hid the lower part of my arms. I looked like a young noble lady and what was worse is that i actually thought of myself as attractive, i was never going to live this down from him. I looked back at him and saw him smirking as he looked me over for anything that needed to be fixed.

"You're disguise is finished young master, should we go to the library while we wait for the lady shadow hive?"

"Yes, lets go. i hope she doesn't take too long so that we can go ahead and get this night over with.."

I muttered the last part under my breath as he escorted me to the library and as i went by i passed my gardener finny who looked at me with wide eyes. He was probably wondering who i was, but i paid him no mind and continued on my way until we came to in front of the big wooden doors of my library. Sebastian opened the door for me and i walked in slowly as i was readjusting myself to wearing the slightly raised heels of the black shoes i wore. I managed to make it without tripping over to my chair and sat down relaxing in the seat as i waited for Jade to finish dressing.
