Jade's POV
He held my hands so gently as i spoke to him, his eyes never leaving my face as if he were trying to burn it into his memory. It made me blush ever so slightly as i finished talking and caught him smiling at me so tenderly.

"Ciel with you staring at me like that i can't help but blush."

He chuckled as he smiled and patted the back of my hand lightly.

"I had gotten lost in your beauty, i suppose it is my fault that i... i... "

I tilted my head as he started blushing and muttered to himself before taking a small piece of paper from his pocket and began speaking again.

"That i lost myself to the power of your great beauty."

I found myself smiling as i snatched the paper from him and saw many beautiful phrases written on the page. I started laughing softly as i saw him look down blushing a light red while muttering to himself.

"Ciel why in the world do you have these in your pocket?"

"I um... i had th.thought of these a while ago... and decided to write them down...."

He cleared his throat and closed his eyes as he said bluntly his face facing towards the fireplace of his great library.

"It doesn't matter though for what i write is of my concern and not of yours."

I raised my brow slightly as i smiled and moved myself closer to him so that i could whisper in his ear.

"I just find it odd that you feel the need to think of such tedious things when you already use your words so beautiful.. and i must add that when you pout like this i find it absolutely adorable."

I saw his eyes pop open as he stumbled away from me blushing an even darker red as he looked at me with widened eyes while i laughed at his reaction. It was so sweet the way he startled back after my sweet whispering inside of his ear, but i think what made me laugh more was the fact he felt the need to do something so ridiculous. I mean he's never acted this way before and i have yet to see him attempt at making eloquent remarks over small things like how i look. He normally made small comments about my appearance that would make my heart flutter. He regained his composure and then cleared his throat again as he smiled at me.

"If you must know i was trying my hand at useless flattery as the count had done for you before, but seeing as my attempts do nothing but make you laugh i will stop."

I smiled at him and took his hand in mine as i said sweetly.

"I do not enjoy the over use of flattery that the count is famous for, i prefer your normal attitude when i'm around so please don't try and change yourself just for my sake. It isn't necessary, but seeing as you called me here for assistance i must inquire on what it is i could possibly help you with."

His smile vanished as he pulled his hand from mine and stood up from the couch. He walked over to the fireplace and kept his back to me as he looked into the fire. He tapped his foot lightly and then sighed his shoulder drooping as if he was about to tell me something that would make me upset, or something that clearly upset him.

"My lady, I am currently working on a case for the queen and one of the suspects happens to be the Viscount Druitt.... my attempts at getting closer to the Viscount have all failed, and my aunt Madame Red made a joking suggestion that i believe might actually work."

I leaned forward and picked up the teacup i had set down during our talk and sipped the tea slowly as i enjoyed the blend of my special tea. It was nice that his aunt was trying to help him, the viscount must be the prime suspect for Ciel to try and befriend him.
