Chapter XXXIV

A/N: I hope you guys can see this chapter, Wattpad was having problems but I think they've mostly fixed it. Also here is an important notice, I needed to write an argument for this chapter and the only one I could think of so I wrote one about Death Note because I'm a huge dork. So if you haven't seen or read it (go watch it now) I've labeled where spoilers start and end. Also these are different opinions I've heard, so I don't necessarily share all of them.

A couple days after what Eren started calling, "Levi's Ninja-Neko spy mission", the two boys invited Erwin and Armin over for dinner. The blondes arrived earlier than expected and Levi was still preparing the last of dinner so Eren sat them down and they chatted.

"So what actually happened?" Eren asked, referring to what happened with Zackley, he hadn't been back to work since then so he was curious.

"Petra and I went to the police with the information and they contacted Zackley's boss. They were able to uncover many other crimes Zackley had committed and in exchange for Petra being a witness in court we did not have to disclose how we got the documents," Erwin responded.

He turned to Levi. "Thank you for biting the paper in the upper left hand corner, they wrote it off as rips from a staple."

Levi nodded and continued with what he was doing.

"With a compilation of all his discovered crimes, past and recent, he will serve a thirty year sentence," Erwin concluded.

"Wow," Eren said. "Thank you both, we couldn't have done this without you."
"Of course," Erwin said.

"Yeah it was..." Armin started.

Levi interrupted him. "If you say 'it was fun' I'll rip your tail off."

Armin's eyes widened with fear. "Hey be nice," Eren chided.

Levi just shrugged and Eren gave Armin an apologetic smile.

"Well tonight we will probably be making it up to you," Erwin said.

"What do you mean?" Eren asked.

"I might have accidentally told Hanji that we were coming over."

Eren looked over at Levi, who had a look if grimace on his face. Hanji had a habit of dropping by unexpected and uninvited. Not that the boys didn't value her as a friend (and Levi would actively object to even that statement) but she was... an intense person.

"That's okay, one more person won't be too bad and she may not even come," Eren said optimistically.

"She'll come," Levi said as if it was a fact.

The group continued chatting until Levi was finished.

"Dinner is ready," he said to them.

As if on cue, Hanji burst through the door. "No worries Neko's and gentlemen, Hanji is here!"

Eren couldn't help but laugh, Hanji always had to make a grand entrance. Eren stood up and hugged his friend, Erwin and Armin followed. Hanji attempted to hug Levi but he refused. They all sat down at the dinner table. Hanji got into a conversation with Armin about manga, which Levi couldn't stop himself from joining. Erwin and Eren found it interesting to watch the three of them.

"Death Note ended at episode 25," Levi argued adamantly.

"Oh come on Near wasn't that bad and Mello was awesome. The plot was still flawless," Hanji counter argued.

"Near was a little twit, the only benefit of the second half was Matt and he only had two minutes of screen time. Not to mention the fact that ending was crap, Light shouldn't have lost."
