Chapter 41

It was already the end of the break. The audience was in their seats already excited for the next match. Nolan, the referree, appeared in the center on the arena.
"I hope that everyone had a good break. Now, is everybody ready for the next match?" said Nolan.
The crowd cheered with enthusiasm. They all couldn't wait.
"Okay, okay!" said Nolan. "I won't keep you all waiting. But, before that match, let us welcome the our beloved mayor, Victor Hazewood!"
Then, fire circled in the middle of the arena right next to Nolan. Suddenly, the mayor was standing there beside Nolan.
"Good Afternoon to my fellow people!" greeted the mayor with enthusiasm. "I hope that everybody enjoyed this tournament."
The audiene went wild. People were cheering for the three remaining teams. They were all so excited.
"I'm glad to see all of you energized for these last two matches. Well, I won't keep you all waiting. So, I wish the three teams good luck, and may the best team win!" said the mayor as his body disappeared with the fire circling around him.
"Ladies and gents, I present to you team Jupiter!" said Nolan.
Then, the team came out from the right side of the arena. Everybody cheered for the team.
"Also, let's give it up for Thiria Exousia!" Nolan announced.
The team came out from the left side. The audience cheered as loudly as how they cheered for team Jupiter. There was no telling which was the crowd favorite.
"Okay, as I have said earlier it will be a seven-on-seven battle. I already made it clear. Three teams out, the entire team's out. So may the mest team win."
Then, Nolan bursted into sparkles and disappeared. When the signal was released, the battle began.

While the battle was starting, Project 7 was in their room waiting for their match. Bryan was really nervous. He kept thinking about which team they'll be facing. He walked around the room sweating like crazy.
"Not again, Bryan," said Shannelle, sitting on the couch watching the hologram.
"I can't help it," said Bryan. "I just can't stop thinking about it, okay?" said Bryan. "This is just the way I am."
"Still. You don't have to walk around the room," said Shannelle. "You're too obvious."
"Don't mind me. Mind your own business," said Bryan aggresively.
"Fine," said Shannelle.
Lance was watching team Jupiter fight. He was speechless seeing the team torturing the other team. He couldn't accept them to be so cruel. Their ways are very brutal like they were about to slaughter the team. He felt anger building up inside him, but he also felt scared.
Pagos knew what Lance was feeling since they shared a bond physically and spiritually. "Calm the storm inside you," he said. "You can do this. All you have to do is meditate. Channel your spiritual energy throughout your body. Divide your strength equally. This will calm the storm in you."
"Thanks, Pagos. I don't know what to do without you," said Lance. He sat on a wide space in the room. He breathed carefully as he concentrated on his energy. He felt the energy flowing through his body like a calm river.
Shannelle also noticed what Lance was doing. She also decided to join him. She sat next to Lance, closed her eyes and meditated. "I hope you don't mind."
"Please. Be my guest," said Lance, continuing to meditate.
Bryan slowly stopped walking around the room when he saw Lance and Shannelle meditating. He realized instead of panicking he needs to stay calm, so he sat next to Lance and meditated as well.
The others thought it was weird at first, but they didn't mind. They just kept quiet and joined them forming a circle meditating quietly. Then, Lance began to hold Bryan and Shannelle's hands. The others also began to hold each other's hands like they were having a ritual.
"Let not your energy flow within yourself, but also to those around you," said Pagos. "Conquer all anxiety in your heart. You will also become stronger."
Colorful aura began to spread out of their bodies flowing from one to another.
"Very good. Just keep it up," said Pagos.
Then, the aura changed color. It became gold. It didn't look like aura, but it looked rather like golden flame burning around their bodies. When, Lance opened his eyes he was very amazed with what he saw.
"This is what it looks like when you share a special bond with others. Flowing your energy to one another," said Pagos.
"I feel it," said Roderick. "I never felt like this before."
"Yeah. I feel like I don't need to worry about anything," said Bryan.
They finished their concentration and felt like they could do anything. They got up from the ground to watch how the battle was going; but before they knew it, it was done.
"It's already finished?" said Shannelle.
"It's impossible," said Albert. "There's no way that a match could finish that fast."
"We can't do anything about it now," said Lance. "Our match is next and all we have to do is to get ready for it."
Suddenly, Mr. McGuillon entered the room. He looked calm like always. He never showed them that he was afraid. "Hey, guys! I just wanted to remind you that your match is in thirty minutes. The other team needs to freshen up before battling you."
"They need not to," said Marjorie. "They didn't break a sweat while battling the other team."
"They're a horrible group!" Roderick exclaimed.
Mr. McGuillon was still calm with all those comments. He was very depressed inside hearing that from his own team. "Listen to yourselves. You guys sound like you wanna give up. Guys, you're already at the finals. You can do it. All of you. I never expected this team could reach this far. It's too late to back down. You guys made me proud because you showed me how skilled each of you are either separately or together. You made me proud because through all the missions we've been through, you never gave up no matter how hard the task was. Lastly, you guys made me proud not only as an instructor; but also as a father. This group made me feel like a family. You treat each other like siblings, and I like that the most about this group. The bond you guys share is like a solid rock. It's unbreakable no matter how many times you drop it."
The room was silent all of a sudden. Then, everyone began to smile at each other. Mr. McGuillon mood began to lighten up.
"That's more like it," he said with a smile on his face.
