The day of the final round has finally arrived. There are six teams who made it. One of them is Project 7. The main event was held in the Grand Stadium. Many people were there cheering for different teams. It was very lively. It was like the entire city was there.
In the middle of the arena came out the president of Manteio Academy. She looked stunning as usual wearing a long white glittering dress with gray butterfly prints on the skirt area. Her blonde hair was tied into a bun, and her make-up was extravagant. It was hard for the audience to take their eyes of off her.
"Welcome, everyone, to the semi-finals of the tournament!" she said calmly yet mighty. "I am very overwhelmed with our students showing off their skills. Every year our students become stronger because they keep training hard. For that, I am very proud. Now, we have reached the final round of this tournament and see which team will become the champion! So, I would like to request everybody to give their full support to every team that has made it this far. May the blessing of Fortuna shower upon our brave young warriors."
Then, she bursted into hundreds of butterflies and flew away. Next, Mr. Nolan came out of the center of the arena as well ready to commence the battles.
"Attention everyone!" he said. "The rules for this round is different. For the first three battles, there will still be three members from each team representing; but the team gets to decide who will be representing. Next, there will be a battlefield summoning tool placed here in the middle of the arena. First one to reach it will have the advantage of summoning battlefields. Each representative will get a maximum of three summons. No legendary beasts are allowed. Flying is allowed. For the three remaining teams later, rules will be different. In each battle, all members must participate in the battle. If three members of the team are out, the entire team is out as well. Other rules will be retained like the summoning and flying." The crowd began to cheer even louder. They were filled with excite. "Here are the teams that were remaining and the pairings for each battle." A giant hologram screen appeared behind him. "The first battle will be Jupiter versus Diamond. Next is Thiria Exousia versus Omega. Last will be Flamma Spei versus Project 7. So, good luck to everyone and let the tournament begin!"

Under the stadium, there were underground waiting rooms that were far from each other. Each team were assigned a waiting room. Project 7 was inside their room trying to relax before their match since they were the third battle. Albert, Roderick and Marjorie were on the couch watching battle on a hologram screen projected from a crystal quartz while Shannelle and Lance were sitting on the floor concentrating. Gavin was leaning against the wall feeling cool, and Bryan is walking around feeling panicked. He was worried what would happen. He tried to calm himself down, but he couldn't. He tried to come up with a plan or strategy to win.
"Why don't you stay calm, Bryan. It will sure help a lot," said Gavin.
"I can't!" said Bryan as he still continued to walk around.
"We should decide who goes in the battle field," said Albert.
"Yeah," Marjorie agreed. "It will save us all the trouble."
"Yes! Yes..." said Bryan. "We should choose wisely. I choose..."
"Don't even think about it," said Lance as he concentrated.
"But, why? We need you out there!" Bryan protested.
"Believe in your other teammates, Bryan. There are seven of us here. You don't have to depend on me all the time," said Lance.
"He's right," said Shannelle. "Lance isn't the only member in our team."
"Ugh, fine," Bryan said finally. "Roderick should go."
"Whatever," said Roderick. "But, if I lose control of my barriers again, don't blame me."
"I'll go," Shannelle volunteered. "This is gonna be my first battle. I wanna gain experience first before we proceed to finals."
"How can you guarantee that we will be moving on?" Marjorie asked.
"Let's just have faith in each other," replied Shannelle as she winked at her.
"Okay, who wants to volunteer last?" Bryan asked.
"I will," said Albert.
"Are you sure?" Bryan was worried from last time Albert fought. He almost killed himself because he got careless.
"We're up against Flamma Spei. There will be a chance that Yuki will be one of the representatives. I know that she's looking forward on battling Lance, but I have a score to settle with her. This time I won't let her defeat me."
"That's the spirit!" said Bryan with glee.
"Hey guys, look," said Roderick as he was watching the match between team Jupiter and team Diamond. All the members focused on the screen watching the progress of the fight. "Looks like team Diamond is having a hard time."
The battle was so violent with team Jupiter tossing them around like toys. The three representatives treated team Diamond like they were slaves. It was horrible. Kais Martel was abusing his super strength to torture one of team Diamond's members. Paolo, a member of team Diamond, was trying his best on the battle field to keep one of them occupied, but it seemed impossible. Charlene Camry, another member of team Jupiter, was tormenting her opponent with a whip like it was simply child's play.
The match didn't take too long. It ended in a flash with all the three members of team Diamond down. It was a tragic end for them.
"I couldn't believe that they could be so brutal," said Marjorie.
"I know," Roderick agreed.
Albert clenched his fist as he saw Paolo lying very injured on the ground. "They're gonna pay for this. I'm gonna avenge Paolo and his team. This is unacceptable."
"What would happen if we were up against them?" said Bryan with fear.
"Don't think of what bad might happen to us," said Lance suddenly still keeping his cool. He kept calm after seeing the fight. He also knew himself that it was brutal. "Don't let your emotions control you. Emotions are very strong, so conquer them before letting them conquer you. The tournament is not over yet. Remember that we also have a match to settle."
Everyone in the room calmed down and took Lance's advice especially Bryan.
"Okay, our match is getting closer," said Shannelle. "We still have time before then. I think that the time is enough to learn this trick."
"What is it?" Bryan asked.
"It's an easy trick that allows two or more people to connect to one another and coordinate well in battle. It's called the linking technique."
"What's that?" Marjorie asked curiously.
"It's a type of technique that allows the members not only to coordinate well, but also combine their spiritual energies, skills, and abilities. This is also very useful during a beast summoning especially when your best summon is a legendary one."
"Interesting..." Bryan said. "All right! Let's learn this thing!"
