I walked (still on crutches, ugh) to the front door. No one was home, or they were in the garage rehearsing. Again. I walked to my room and got dressing into my pyjamas. I turned out my light and got into bed.

I woke up to a blinding light. I groaned and rolled over.

"Zee!" I heard Riker yell. "Rosannah!" he yelled again. He seemed to have given up and I fell back asleep.

I woke up again at 8:00. Oh no! I missed the bus! Oh wait, it was Saturday! Yes! (Can't even tell you how often I do this, I'll probably do it Christmas morning lol) I got out of bed and ran down the hall.

"Riker!" I said, jumping onto the counter next to him.

"Hey! Someone's in a good mood. Where did my Rosannah go? Why are you so... normal?" I play punched him in the arm.

"I'm right here, and I'm always normal. No wonder Ross is my favourite." I heard a 'yes!' from the living room, a voice I recognized as Ross. I laughed.

"Riker?"

"Yes..." Riker answered, finishing putting the last few pancakes of the batch onto the plate.

"Riker..." I said again, making my best puppy dog eyes.

"Oh no," said Rocky coming into the kitchen. "What does she want now?"

"A dog!" I exclaimed.

"NO!" Riker yelled. "You are not, definitely NOT getting a dog. You aren't responsible and what are you going to do when we are on tour?"

"Either he'll go with mum and dad or Ell's parents. Simple."

Riker sighed. "We'll see." I cheered.

"Ross! We're getting a dog!" I yelled.

"Really?!" he asked, running into the kitchen. "Can we name him Rex? I want to name him Rex! When do we get him? Can we get a... um... I don't really care. Can we go now?"

Riker was rubbing his temples. "Ro, we'll see did not mean yes. It means maybe."

"But maybe can mean yes, depending on the way you interpret it. You shouldn't have given me an answer I could interpret different ways if you wanted me to interpret it your way."

"Smart ass," Riker mumbled, going back to making pancakes.

"Don't use that word around me, Riker. I'm young and impressionable." I said, jumping onto Ross' back. "Remember thattttttt!" I yelled, fading away as I rode into the living room on Ross' back. Rocky was laughing as we watched American football.

"She's cute, Riker. And funny. Ease up a bit," I heard Rocky tell him. But all I could think about was my new dog, Rex (yes, I guess  we could keep the name). He was going to be so cute, and I couldn't wait. Riker had better let me adopt him!

Later that day, I got my plaster off! I could walk again (haha). It was great! And you know, a dog would help celebrate the moment. We came back home and had pancakes.

Ugh, sorry it's short again. P.S. I actually have a pig named Rex (he's so tiny!)
