***4 months later***
Savannah's belly was getting so big! I was becoming used to the idea of a baby. Savannah decided to wait to know the gender and she knew how many there were but she wanted it to be a surprise for the rest of us. The baby's room was also off limits so they didn't give anything away.
The day it all happened I was at the set with Ross. He was filming and I was trying to find a way to occupy myself with out a stinking TV or phone or anything. I counted everything, climbed and jumped off of random things, spun around, ate a lot, and slept. Or, tried to, at least. Ross came running through the door, on the phone with someone. He motioned for me to come with him. It was only about 10:00 in the morning, too early for us to be going home. I had completely forgotten about the baby for the most part, I didn't really think about the baby. It was Savannah and Riker and I couldn't see another member. I hadn't thought about it for a while, it was just a fact of life and I had gotten so used to it that I couldn't imagine Rikvannah as parents and Savannah not pregnant anymore. So it never really crossed my mind that maybe it was finally happening.
"Okay, are they doing okay? Alright. Yeah, we're packing up right now. Okay, we'll be there soon. See you soon. Bye," Ross said into the phone. He turned towards me. "We're going to the hospital. C'mon."
I stood up and walked out the door. I thought something had happened, Ross didn't seem happy at all. But I remembered as I got into the car that Savannah was 9 months pregnant and she was probably having her baby!
"Ross!" I said, grinning as he started the car.
"Yes, princess?"
"Are we going to the hospital because Savannah is having her baby?"
"I believe we are, you excited?"
"Super!"
We drove about an hour to the hospital, chatting the whole time about random things like what I was doing at school (again, a topic I pushed away) and about what we wanted the baby to be like, like its gender and name. I liked the names Reva for a girl and Max for a boy. Ross liked Jett for a boy and Juliet for a girl, after his two favourite things he told me.
We arrived at the hospital soon and had to find somewhere to park which was easier said than done.
We eventually found somewhere in the parking garage and I hopped out as fast as lightning. Ross took forever getting out of the car so I waited and waited for him to get out.
"Ross! You're taking forever! I wanna go see!" I whined.
"Oh, be quiet!" Ross said, laughing. "I'm coming." He came over and swooped me up into hi arms and put me on his shoulders.
"Ah! You're so tall!" I said, giggling.
"Am I? Thanks, I didn't know."
"Yeah, you are," I answered as we walked through the doors. The hospital had a special section for labour and delivery rooms, which is what we parked outside of.
"Everyone else is coming later. We're going to have to wait a bit before we can see her or the baby, okay?"
"Alright, how long?"
"I don't know, she hasn't even had the baby yet. She could have it at this time tomorrow morning for all I know."
I sighed. But I was happy for Riker and Savannah. Ross set me down on the floor and I sat in a chair as Ross checked in. He walked over to me and sat down.
"Get comfortable, Ro. We're gonna be here a while." I groaned and leaned back in my chair. We waited for a few hours; long, long, hours. Ross was on his phone the whole time.
"Ross, I'm hungry."
"Cool," Ross replied, shaking off my need for food even though it was around 2 o'clock and I had only eaten breakfast all day.
"I'm hungry," I told him an hour later.
"Fine, let's go get something to eat."
"They have ice cream!" I said, grinning as we walked into the hospital cafeteria.
"Nice, you're not getting that," Ross replied.
"What!? Ross! But I really want ice cream! I have my own money!"
"Kay, then buy it with your own money," Ross told me as he walked over to the refrigerator to get waters.
I followed him. "Not with me! Please!"
"Maybe after we eat. I'll see." If 'I'll see' worked out the same way it did with Rex, then yay!
I got a ham and cheese sandwich and we went back to the waiting room. I was really bored by now, and Savannah still hadn't had the baby. It was already 4:00 pm, and Ross' phone was dead.
"Wanna go walk around?" I asked him.
"Sure," he answered, getting up. We walked down a hall and up another. There was a Starbucks that sold candy (Ross said no) and a gift shop that also sold candy (nope). There was an escalator which we rode up and down many, many times. We went back to the waiting room at around 5:30 or 6:00 pm. As we sat down, a doctor came out accompanied by Riker. Riker was crying. Uh-oh. Was the baby okay?
